Good Points: AWD-TwinTurbo..Launch like a Stealth Fighter!! Maybe why Dodge named it's model: "STEALTH"

Bad Points: Expensive Labor Maintenance and parts, Lacking room inside and under hood. Hard to work on engine bay. But it's all worthed for a car like this rare and 10yrs.advance technology.

General comments: 99'3000gt VR-4,What a car!! Best sports car i've ever own and get compliment all over the place. I feel like i got my money worth for compliments and attentions,Head turns,Strangers take pictures with it. Believe me! I guess because it's a rare car to see on the streets.

The Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 is an all wheel drive, turbocharged, 3.0 really good to mod, not to small , comfortable, and its just overall a good car, with a few mods it'll smoke a mustang in a straight line, and in its stock fourm it;ll smoke any detriot muscle in the corners
i loveee this car, test drove a few buying one soon

The 3000GT VR4 is the best handling car I have ever driven, with its all wheel drive, all wheel steering, active aero, and electronic controlled suspension allows it to rip through corners. This car is easy to drive in any weather, four season supercar! Overall the car looks fantastic inside and out! The seats are comfortable and the power of the car is mind boggling!
I recommend this car! It keeps up with if not overtakes all of these new sports cars including the Subaru STI, Mitsubishi EVO, Au ...

I grew up racing 60's muscle machines and laugh at the price they fetch...in their dreams detroit wished they could produce a car that performed in all conditions and situations like a vr4. second gear tops at 90 mph...and where does one go to top third gear?

This is my third Mitsubishi VR4 and I simply love this car. I think its one of the finest cars ever made and has everything to impress everyone.....from great styling to excellent power....... from removable glass top to all the other bells and whistles like ECS, Active Aero, Dual Exhaust, Twin Turbo, AWD, AWS etc.
People put its heavy weight and gas consumption as a negative. I live in Mid-West and can tell you from my own experience how great it handles in snow compared to other sports cars t ...

FAST! THIS CAR SCREAMS! Mustangs and Camaroes could not touch me. The looks, for me at least, are the most gorgeous I've ever seen in a car and when the car drives well .... ahem ... it drives like a dream. Not to mention very hi-tech bells and whistles with Active Aero and AWD and AWS.
I loved my VR4 when it was running well and it was a blast to drive but repairing and maintaning really gets old after a while.

Ferrari looks and perfomance to die for!
Its wide, low, long - everything a true 'supercar' should look like!
Very addictive to put your foot down - but itll cost you on fuel!

My Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 is fast has lots of power, sexy, turns heads, keeps pace with any car on the street today. 24 mpg. fun to drive, almost never looses grip on the road. This is one amazing sports car, I have never been in a v6 this fast before. It dosn't have to compromise anything for looks this car turns anyones head. The handling is almost unmatched with all wheel drive, 4 wheel steering, active areo dynamics, and a switchable suspension, it is just hard to beat the way this thing driv ...

I have had my 97 VR4 for about a year and it is by far the funnest car I've ever driven. I have 80k miles on it and is in great condition. Handling is incredible and launching from a dead stop with the AWD is so much fun.
It's an awesome car for money and the timeless styling attracts nearly everyone I pass. Its my second 3000GT and I love it.

If you would like something to race, get a rear wheel drive, I have had experience with all and rear wheel are definitely the best. Don't get me wrong, these Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 cars are the dog's nads, but I'm sick of it. I've had it for 2 years and it's been on my drive, most of it, having rebuilds and new components and I don't even race!!

You will be impressed but be warned that these will cost you a fortune. Plus they are really hard to see gains from tuning. At tops you'd get it to 43 ...

When I first bought my 3000GT VR4 I was actually in the market for the Porsche 924 or the 300ZX. This was Mitsubishi's first entry into the performance car arena and they did an excellent job with their introduction of the 3000 GT VR4.
Enough so that it is the only time that Mitsubishi has won Motor Trend's Car of the year award in its class.
At the time the car came out none of the other two cars that I considered came close to performance looks nor style. To date, (now that the original 30 ...

The Mitsubishi VR4 is a site to behold. Merging on the highway is like when they hit lightspeed in Star Wars. I have a black 1997 5 Speed that I bought with 62K miles on it and love it. The car has a luxurious interior yet can beat nearly all gear-head cars without modification (they just sit and spin as you silently grab the road and go). These cars are solidly built and have good quality paint. They are made of mostly metal not plastic (which unfortunately makes them heavy 3800 pounds). The we ...

What else do you need? The Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 has V6 Twin Turbo 320 HP all wheel drive, all wheel steering, power everything, leather, adjustable stabilizer, go from Touring to Sport; sport gives you more stiff feeling, which means less roll over feel going around corners, and a high rate of speed. Touring is more of a smooth ride. Adjustable muffler, also go from touring to sport; Touring uses the regular exhaust, then if you click it to sport, it shuts off some of the exhaust and runs in mo ...

This 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 Sports Car was bought off the show room floor.
One owner. "ME" 38-thousand miles sun roof FULLY LOADED!!!! Leather seats. That just hug you. MINT condition. Lives in garage. Kids take me out once in a while to ride in it. (I cant drive anymore)
Its preformance has been above and beyond what I ever exspected. It will do 140 Miles and hour EASY!! It has Active Arrow system after 50 miles an hour the computer takes over. Dropping to the ground and all wheel ste ...

Bought a '92 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 Sports Car... Driving it has been tons of fun... I turn heads when I drive by and snap necks when I fly by them... If performance isn't in your blood then save a ton of money by getting an SL (still equiped with the luxury features of leather/sun roof and midsize engine).. if luxury means beans to you get the base... There's a 3000GT in everyones budget... The Vr4 kicks ass...

I dont have one yet. But I am obsessed with the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 sports car. I really want one in the worst way. i want to buy one so if you could e-mail me at vipercspeed@hotmail.com than that would be great. It has to be a VR-4 twin turbo w/ 150k miles or less, and a resonable price. Thanks.

I purchased this Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 sports car four years ago with 70,000 miles and it now has 120,000 miles on it...no part breakdowns...only regular maintenace and timing belt. I have always loved cars and this is a car lover's car. If you don't give it its due or abuse it, it would be a very expensive burden on your budget. If you want a race car buy a race car...if you want a high performance incredible handling street car...this is it. Try to find any thing under 10,000 with half the ...

I bought this Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 sports car in feb of 04' with 60k on it. as soon as I saw it I fell in love and when I finnaly drove it, i was fanatical about the car. Do not buy this car if you don't know anything about cars with turbo. And if you plan on getting one read up on it as much as you can.
Since I had the car I've done all the upgrades on it my self. If you want to see it go to:

I've had the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 for 7 years with the only failure being the screw thread that raises and lowers the moonroof. I had seen the reports on the bad 5-speed tranny so I waited and got a 95' with the german gertrag 6-speed, no problems yet. It's a good thing the car has been so reliable (74k) because the dealer doesn't have a clue and confirms every bad story you've ever heard. After the initial lag due to weight there's not much on the road that won't get left in the rear view b ...
