I received a letter from you today with my statement. It was telling me that I was 2 months in arrears with my payments. The reason I din't pay anything in April was because of a dispute over goods that I didn't order or receive, so as far as I was concerned I didn't owe anything to you. The following payment was for only 58p and I didn't think it was worth it to create a lot of paperwork for such a trivial amount. When I have finished paying for what I owe, I will not be ordering... I like kaleidoscope as it has good quality items and some unusual things for the home,and have a nice range of ladies fashion,not the old fashioned things you get in a lot of catalogues there is also quick delivery,and free returns,and plenty of time for you to try on the things at home before returning if you are not happy, the payment line is easy to follow on line making it easy to make your payments without having to trake to the bank, the thing i don't like about it is the high interest... Be careful. The accounts are not kept date. You end up overpaying and they dont easily give refunds. Then you place an order, it is accepted but several days later an email comes saing they wont send it as you are over your credit limit. Why accept the order in the first place if it is over. Finally, after complaining, you get an email saying sorry they are not up to their usual standard. Unfortunately, in my experience, it is exactly the usual standard. Having been a kaleidoscope customer for many many years, i now can shop on line via their website and apart from paying by options account or dd for personal items, i can also make extra payments which suits me fine. I am a disabled lady and need an electric wheelchair indoors and out and to be able to do my shopping on line is just great as some shops are not equipped or have easy access. My wife is a customer with Kaleidoscope and unfortunately suffered a massive Heart Attack last week. She was concerned that her payment was due and asked me to ring customer services to advise them of what had happened and that she couldn't physically make the payment. I did what she asked and rang them only to be told that if she didn't make the payment then she would be charged a £12 late payment! Last year at the time when I fancied a new rug I found a nice one in their catalogue which had just arrived free with a newspaper. The quality of clothing over the years has diminished. Most of it had to be returned. I did not receive any statements even though I requested them. I was charged £12 (yes ....£12) for not paying a statement that I did not get a statement. I did get the £12 refunded but do still not get statements. If you phone it is a number that the customer has to pay for so I refuse to use it. Why should we pay their telephone bill. (read more)

I love kaleidoscope and always have. However I feel quite angry about this months statement because it doesn't ask for a payment at all. Now I am comfortably off and I paid it regardless, but I think it is really shocking that you have sent statements out without requesting a payment and lots of less well off people will think "oh great they have forgotten" and then they will be hit with double interest in January. I ordered a dress from Kaleidoscope and paid for next day delivery. Kaleidoscope told me there was a delay on deliveries and that it would arrive two days later. They emailed me to say it had arrived but there was no parcel. When I queried this they said they would have to investigate and then told me I'd have to put my claim in writing for the missing dress. Kaleidoscope takes a little twist with its fashionable garments. They are never the same as the high street stores. There is always something which is just that bit different, yet is immensely wearable. There is a good range of styles and sizes and clothes for any occasion. I have found this catalogue company to be poor in every area, I feel sorry for the people on the end of the phone they must get fed up with the unhappy customers calling in, the statements arrive late hence you get a late fee, the payments take to long to be credited hence you are paying extra in interest , returns are slow to be put back on your account. Recently purchased item, when I received the item in question, I noticed the dress was faulty, I stated this on the returns form, a couple of weeks later I receive an email reminder; telling me I was late with my payment, when I logged on to my account; I was still being charged £5.99 for postage on returned items. I was under the impression that as the item was faulty, I would have received a full refund. I will not be using Kaleidoscope again; I find this disgusting customer services. (read more)
