Good Points: Response at the head office was good.
Bad Points: There is absolutely no consideration for peoples time, every thing takes hours.
General comments: I bought the car, drove it to buy the road tax, I found out that one headlight and one fog light was not working, the wiper reservoir was also empty, although this was rectified after the complaint, I have come to a conclusion that this 120 point check is not thorough enough.

I bought a car 8 days ago from Carcraft on finance. I was able to drive the car away the same night, this was 2 days before Christmas so I never got chance to use the car as it was Christmas, and the car had no tax. Once driving, I noticed that the car was in need of repair as the clutch was on its way out and a problem with the gear stick juddering when driving, also the locks for the windows did not work, also the mounts were on way out as car pulled back when I was driving. I know all this as ...

Well done Car Craft, another satisfied customer, of which I'm sure there are plenty, but never write about. You only seem to hear from the ones that are complaining. I purchased a car on 24th September and this is the second car I have purchased from CarCraft of Rochdale, both of which I have had no problems whatsoever. Surely this must be a true reflection of what purchasing a used car is all about. A big pat on the back for Carcraft and their staff, you have delivered once again and I would ha ...

The car I bought at CARCRAFT (sept 21) it has only travelled 32 miles (using it's own power) since the MOT inspection carried out at the NE (Birtley) branch before it 'broke down' and was transported back to their workshop on 24 Sept.
Whether it had a 120 point PRE DELIVERY INSPECTION who knows???
The car has now been in/at the workshop for 12 days and seemingly its still not road worthy (at time of this review) WELL to cut a long story short I am about to try and get a full refund. I have t ...

The car checks they do must be done from miles away - certainly not on the mechanics of the vehicle. The warranties are not worth the paper they are written on - their excuse for not considering a claim I have recently made on components covered by the warranty and which have cost me in excess of £1500 are that the vehicle is six years old and done more than 60,000 miles - they must have known that when they sold it!

After having my car valued twice at the same amount and after having sat waiting for over 2hrs I was seconds from driving off in my new car only to be told "no deal" due to valuation error! It wasn't my fault that two valuation guys valued my car £1000 too high. It all ended in me leaving angrily.

I was looking for a car and Carcraft had just opened a branch 4 miles from me so I though I would pay them a visit.
Before doing this I looked on their web site, and picked out a couple of cars I was interested in.
I had only just stepped in the door when I was confronted by 3 burly salesmen.
Not what I wanted as at this stage I just wanted to browse round.
After 5 minutes of being followed around, I asked to look at the cars I had seen on their web site.
The salesman could not find th ...

Recently went Carcraft to exchange my car. We picked the car we wanted and went through all the paperwork and were told to go to the "Departure Lounge". Little do they tell you that you could be waiting anything from an hour to 4 and a half, and then get told that the financial department is closed after 3.00pm. So, I can safely say we will not be going back and waste of a Sunday. Also, do not take little children they get bored.

Unforgettable for the wrong reasons are the only words I can use to describe Carcraft. We decided to purchase a 2000 (V) Mitsubishi Shogun as we desperately needed a car. We were unable to test drive the car as they wouldn't allow us to drive it off the forecourt. After 3 weeks, the car was able to be picked up and purchased. We arrived and it was filthy so it took another 2 weeks for the car to finally be in our possession. The salesmen we had were rude and the overall place was a mess and ...

Finding a good dealer is hard work but I was really impressed with Carcraft when I went hunting for an MPV (I know but the inevitable happens).
Bought a Megane Scenic from them off the web and after putting in some cash got 0% finance for the rest. There was a bit of a wait for the finance to come through and the sales exec was a bit eager for us to sign but at the end of the day that's his job.
I know that on here they have a few bad reviews but I think that's the case for anyone selling ...

We arrived at carcraft yes what a lovely greeting, a nice sales man who later turned into the salesman from hell.Very pushy when we found the car of our choice we said the re-payments were too much and we were not interested he then came back from his manager with an offer much lower which we could afford. We said we wanted 5 mins to talk about it he then pushed us to what on earth we needed to think about this was a fantastic deal. Well we ended up buying this car only to discover that when dr ...

Hi! I'm another mug and I wish I'd read this before I set foot in Carcraft. They pressure people into buying a car but worst of all, once a sale has been agreed they take a deposit and the keys to your old vehicle and the keep you waiting for hours until you agree to sign expensive PPP and extra warrenty agreements. I refused and was kept waiting until 10pm.The cost of my finance deal was £100 per month. With extras it would have been £176! DO NOT USE.

Just went for nosey at family type vehicles at Carcraft. At least 3 slippery salesmen tried it on, rubbished any ideas I had that they didnt stock and offensively told me to look elsewhere when I suggested my budget. Ultimately they are there for one sole purpose , to extort as much cash from you as possible. Do yourself a favour, go elsewhere and get a much better deal !!!
As you can tell, they really annoyed me. Reading the other reviews, I am not the only one.

All the above reviews are very similar to my own experience. I was hustled into paying more than twice what the car was worth, and spending thoudands on a guarantee and insurance for the loan. The interest rates are also MASSIVE.
Having been stupid enough to sign on the dotted line, I was then told that I would have to wait to collect the car until it had been MOT'd. I asked them to deliver and found that on delivery there was a problem with the Turbo! Luckily, they did agree to foot the bill, ...

Carcraft sell Overpriced high mileage bangers in my opinion!!
Pushy salespeople
Unhelpful customer services
"Drive away in an hour"...7 hours later I left with what I thought was a nice new car.
Two days later the cars electrics go down!!!!
I am now seeking legal advice as the car I part exchanged was on finance which they said they would pay off and add on to my new finance with them. Yes they have added the extra amount to my monthly payments, but haven't paid off my finance that I a ...
