Bought Buildings & Home Contents Insurance from Coral Wood. Very helpful advisor. Quote was the best for the benefits. Beat my renewal quote from Morethan by £30 and my union's insurance by £100! Can't comment on the service if I needed to make a claim as hope I won't have to. (read more)

If you use a comparison market web site for your insurance and one call comes up as the cheapest then I would avoid it as if your life depended on it. Three months into my insurance I needed to change my car, one call doubled my insurance and charged me £55 for the pleasure, with other companies the new car is actually cheaper to insure, as I was 3 months into the policy I was tied into it so was trapped by the short ones. I bought a car insurance policy from this company in late April, couldn't manage the paperwork and emailed to cancel 4 days before it was due to start. That email was ignored, and on May 25, I had to phone them about it. Now they are charging me £50 cancellation fee, PLUS £100 for a couple of weeks' coverage (not that they have had to do anything). After waiting 4 days for a reply to an email i sent to one call i rang up and got through to Danielle Ascough at your call center . I wanted to cancel an insurance policy as we have just bought a new car with insurance included in the deal {we have been pleased with the service one call provided and would not have cancelled had it not been foir the free insurance }. I telephoned One Call to add my daughter to the insurance, and was helped very ably by an advisor. Not only did he take the time to research the options for me, but he added her as a named driver there and then, for no additional cost. He made my phone call worthwhile! Thanks (read more)

after setting up insurance for initial payment to go out on 22/5 I get an email on 21/5 to tell me my quote has been cancelled due to payment being declined. simply from "office! so not sure what happened there. I WILL re do my account tomorrow 22/5 but they have been told they will not get my driving licence and no claims proof until 24/5 when I go to my mothers 200 miles away and get the scanned. lets see if thy can at least get it right second time round. only reason I have even gone... Great coverage at a great price. QUICK response with a plethora of e-mails, but I suspect some of them were automated. A little confusing since one of the earlier ones asked for an upload of documents and then a later e-mail said you didn't need any. Got there in the end, helpful folks when I rang, and they immediately had all the info at their fingertips, so it was a GREAT experience. Thank you for your kind and efficient service. My proof of no claims certificate was taking a long time. I telephoned expecting problems and excuses like I hav head from other insurers. She solved the problem with no fuss and I had the certificate within minutes. Now I can rest assured that my new insurance policy is safe I only had three days before the new insurer said they would cancel my policy. thanks again OneCall. (read more)

Thank you Nathan Mason. I really appreciated the fact that you phoned me to let me know that my Credit Card had expired,and to check that I had replaced it. When this happened with my previous insurer 3 years ago, they didn't inform me until the last minute! I am very pleased with One Call's system of everything on-line. Prices are good, BUT, like most bad companies, they pretend the Data Protection Act requires them to repeat ALL your details endlessly. They then fail to give accurate advice, so one is never sure if insurance is in place until you speak to the actual insurers. (read more)

If you can get through to them within 10 minutes you're lucky. I rang to cancel my renewals for both car and household/buildings (I had not claimed on either and paid by DDebit) well in advance of the date. The advisor was not very happy as they could not match my new quote and told me that it had all been cancelled. Since this happened last November I have had a letter every month saying that I have defaulted and asking for late payment plus a years full amount £250. I have rung them... (read more)

Looking at some of these reviews it must be the One call staff who are writing them. Shocking company to deal with. £55 to update your address. £177 to cancel the policy which only has 3 months left to run. Increase in monthly direct debit due to address change despite being told no increase would happen. You have been warned, AVOID this company. I received a quote non Tesco compare.com and went to accept the quote. I was unable to retrieve the quote and the adviser would not accept the quote. I accepted the new quote, despite it being over £50 more expensive. The adviser made several mistakes in taking details from me resulting in me having to correct several details during the quote process. As a customer for the first time we are very dissapointed at the tone of the letters received from this company, never had letters from a company like this before, and yes it was my fault I was not in the country to respond to their letters but threats of policy cancellation and informing the police of the cancellation along with the added threat of the financial cancellation charges, when I had PAID IN FULL up front for the policy. Called to update address and check why DD hadn't been taken, first advisor couldn't transfer call..really! Called ext numb again sorted DD Onecall hadn't processed my previous 3 req for DD date change, advisor female pleasant and efficient until..
