I ordered 4 pairs of dumbbells from Gymworld, and as far as I was aware, the order had been completed. I then receive an email 7 days later informing me that they didn't have the equipment in stock, would I like to proceed with the order, which could take up to 14 days.. I decided to go ahead. Having read some of the very negative reviews of Gymworld on review sites after I’d placed the order (for a treadmill and upright exercise bike) I was nervous, to say the least! We ordered a treadmill from them. We contacted them for advice about which would be best to buy for our needs. Plenty of useful advice and no sense of trying to ell us the most expensive. Ordered a treadmill using there finance offer. The next day it was reduced by £100. After several calls and no replies as promised they agreed to match the price and I went ahead with the order. I ordered 2 items from Gymworld who on first impression had an easy to use web site and competitively priced goods. Upon delivery It became apparent that one of the items was faulty and despite contacting Gymworld, I was told I'd have to deal with the manufacturer. When I spoke to people over the phone at Gym World they were all polite and helpful, but unfortunately their positive telephone manner is let down elsewhere in the system. Ordered a Keys Fitness KF-LEG leg machine which was discounted at 50% at the point of purchase and the sale completed.
Got an email from them later advising the item was out of stock. No advice as to when the item would be back in stock, which isnt normal customer service.
After checking their website, it was found that the item had been put back to full price and they obviously didnt want to sell at their advertised and purchased price.

I received the goods on time, unfortunately one of the goods was faulty and I have spent over two week emailing and making numerous phone calls trying to get the goods returned for a replacement. Gave up in the end as I did not get any response from Gymworld and Barclaycard are now dealing with it on my behalf trying to get me a refund. Will never deal with this cowboy outfit again. Avoid Gymworld at all costs is my recommendation, i wish i had done some more research on them so i would have avoided the hassle and time wasted
I ordered a cross-trainer on 3 Jan and it stated next working day delivery, on the 5th Jan I contacted them to ask where my goods are, they then tell me the model i ordered is out of stock and won't be in till February, they offered me a replacement and i agreed.

I ordered a product from their website and didn't receive a order tracking email. I emailed them and they didn't get back to me, I phoned and the didn't answer. Finally I got someone on their IM function after waiting 10 minutes. The parcel arrived with a sticker on it saying it was part of a set?
Overall, "100% satisfaction guaranteed"? You must be having a laugh!

Can't speak any higher of the people at Gymworld, they gave me advice which found the right crosstrainer for me, they offered me a little money off to help me get a better machine closer to my budget and to be honest, when the machine arrived, I wouldnt have minded paying full price! We had a good experience with gymworld.co.uk. Good customer service - we were kept updated by telephone on our order ( they gave us a delivery time window so we didn't need to sit in all day waiting for our bike ). Delivery on time. Great price for the bike we bought and we got a free heart monitor watch too. We opted for installation with the delivery which was stress free. Staff polite,helpful and knowledgable. I ordered the York T202 Anniversary treadmill from Gymworld after looking through the specs of several models. Their web site showed it "in stock" and accepted my order. They then sent an e-mail saying because I wanted it delivered to my girlfriend's and not my address they would send me a letter with a code. I bought a Reebok cross trainer from this bunch of cowboys. It was faulty from the start and they have not honoured the guarantee or even bothered to reply from my e-mails. The customer service is disgraceful and I am left having to chase a refund from my credit card company as gymworl have not replaced or refunded (not even replied to complaint). Avoid like the plague. We purchased from gymworld as it was slightly cheaper than anywhere else. In retrospect we found the reason for that. If I'd have known I would have happily paid £50 more to a better company.
We selected Saturday delivery rather than a free mat. The crosstrainer arrived in a bashed up box and was upside-down and cracked. Phoning on that Saturday got us nowhere as only sales lines were receiving.

After looking about on the internet for a Reebok B5.7e excerise bike the best website was Gymworld after looking at some reviews on the company i decided to buy the excerise bike at £329. and £4.95 for next day delivery.
I just want to let everybody know my excerise bike was deliverd on time and in perfect condition i would recommend Gymworld to anybody as i will buy from this company again

I ordered a treadmill for a Saturday delivery, I called on the Thursday to confirm and was told there was a problem it would be there next Saturday I waited in and called about mid day and was told that the courier won't deliver in my area on a Saturday. I was bought a Kettler Race exercise bike just before Christmas. I went to the Gymworld showroom as I wanted to try it before buying. The guys there were very helpful and took the time to show me the model I was interested in and others they recommended. Ordered a reebok exercise bike from gymworld as was cheapest plus free easy breathe gift. Bike arrived on delivery day with no problems. When I got home that day to put bike together 3 parts were damaged. Had no problems returning but attitude on one of the operators was not to my liking. After my goods not appearing and Gym World not bothering to inform me I then get told I would get a FREE upgrade. Little did I realise that I would be sent a completely different product. On 9 July 2009 I spoke to Gymworld and ordered the volleyball set for a birthday on 17 July. I was told delivery would take 3 to 5 days. I called again on 16 July to see where the volleyball set was as it had not been delivered and was told.... my order had not been processed! I checked they had all my details were correct - they were. I recommend them wholeheartedly. I spoke with GymWorld on a Tuesday late afternoon regarding a Tunturi exercise bike. They said they were awaiting the consoles so could only get me one by the Friday!
I wanted a Saturday delivery and true to their word, I received an email on Friday confirming delivery (inside a very reasonable four hour time slot) and by 10.30 Saturday the bike had turned up.
After an hour of set up it was up and running before lunchtime.

After ordering a cd and listening to it to realise the quality of the cd was poor, I decided to ask for a refund. They argued that I was given a chance to listen to previews of each song on the web. I never thought the quality would have been better on the preview. As an aerobics instructor I think it is very important to have good quality music. And as this music does not have this quality I will not be using it as I would be very embarrassed if I did. (read more)

The biggest mistake I made was not to search for reviews on this retailer before ordering. Having ordered very easily, I was promised my treadmill the following day- at £50 cheaper then Argos and next day delivery - who could complain! It came to 2pm the next day and no treadmill. Most electrical appliances are fairly reliable nowadays, but when something goes wrong, you expect to get it fixed within a reasonable time frame. The most disappointing situation a customer can be in is when a supplier ignores you or just plainly fobs you off with a series of excuses. This separates the successful retailer from the average or poor, and results in excellent customer loyalty and feedback. It's a shame that I can't give any good feedback for Keys Fitness.
