They were fine until I made a claim, at which time they produced detailed documentation which said my claim was not valid. I could have accepted this if they had same the same documentation to me at the time of taking out the policy. Take my advice ...pay a little more and get the security of a reputable company.

Just been hounded at threatened with debt collectors for not paying cancellation payment on my direct debit insurance plan, and also demanded payment for the following months direct debit payment. I recieved letter requesting payment on Monday, received a 2nd letter on the Thursday of the same week saying this had now been passed on to a debt collector for the £53.00 owed. Phoned them up to explain was met by very rude, un helpful and argumentative operator Keep well clear of these people, what help would you expect if you had to claim of these people

Made a claim while in Afghanistan, they were swift to respond and genuine in their concern. Once they had the standard information needed they not only refunded or replaced all items lost with receipt they even did this for a couple bits I had no receipt evidence for! Not only did they do all this without a problem they even postponed the claim by nearly a near while I traveled! If you are honest and upfront with them they will bend over backwards. Cannot recommend enough! Ever notice how the only people writing reviews have a negative opinion?

Took out a policy over the phone and sent all the paperwork. They say they did not receive it. I was not about to do it all over again so now they cancelled the policy and are charging me money to cancel. I am not sure how they are charging me as I don't remember giving bank details but I can't trust a company who is so much of a shambles that can't receive and process their mail and especially now that I read internet reviews of them. They are sending me threat letters trying to bully me into paying a cancellation fee. It is they who cancelled the policy.

Total scammers! Someone took a policy out in my name via an online form for which I hadn't signed any paperwork for or received a copy of the policy. They had the wrong bank account details and address but somehow I'm still liable because they have my email and phone number. Cue hundreds of threatening texts, phone calls and emails from Credit Resource Solutions who state I have to pay up for a policy I did not take out! I have tried to co-operate with them and get nothing in return it's apparently my fault. I've had to contact trading standards and the financial ombudsman to try and sort it!

No offence I have read all your reviews and I work in insurance and it's kind of your fault. An exclusion is something that will 'NOT' be covered so I doesn't matter you didn't understand it because exclusion means its not covered. And towergate is advised insurance selling so if we miss sell to you then you can complain to the FSA because we have advised you on what to buy. So because all calls are recorded I'm 99% sure you insured yourself incorrectly. I'm sorry to tell you but I deal with customers daily and you will do anything to get the cheapest price and withold information and then when you don't get paid out you wonder why. As an expert in the industry I have some sympathy for you because you don't realise the importants till its too late.

Hello All I do not believe the positive reviews on this site regarding this awful company. I purchased Landlords Insurance via Bedford Insurance Brokers. I ended up needing to make a claim. This company sold me a useless policy that covered NOTHING - it bascially covered an unoccupied property that had been unoccupied for less than 60 days. I had a quote from them for LANDLORDS INSURANCE and although the policy document send to me made reference to "Malicious Damage Exclusion 19" it did NOT tell you anywhere what the exclusion meant? When I intially contacted Towergate (without a policy number) they "searched" for it on their system. They said I had no policy with them. It was only when I went through my old Credit Card statements I found the details I needed. I rang them back, and surprise surprise they found it straight away. The emails I have got from the company never include a subject matter (in other words they hope you will lose the email!) They have refused my claim and I still have NO IDEA what my so-called insurance policy actually covered. PATHETIC. I have kept my original policy document, the emails I have got from the company and even the original quote (Compare The Market). I am looking for other interested parties to make a joint compliant about these scumbags to the OFT and FSC. Anyone interested leave details below. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE

Very poor payout on claim. Still waiting flood damage claim after two months or more!

Had to make a flood damage claim on my shop insurance policy for damaged goods. Excellent service, claim paid out quickly and in full, can highly recommend Towergate.

I have used Towergate since they took over Warren Hill. I was hoping for the same efficency and service that I received from Warren Hill. Unfortunately I have found the customer service and attitude of staff to be nothing short of horrendous. After discovering that they had cancelled the wrong motor insurance on one of my 2 vehicles it is the last straw. I would not recomend this insurance companyto anyone.

Towergate are best avoided. Poor customer service and a bad attitude were all I encountered.

I have been with Towergate Riskline for 6 years now and I am extremely happy with the service provided. The premium is always market competitive and they are always willing to answer and queries or concerns that I may have. Personal service.

I called the Customer Service Centre number to ask some money that had been taken out of our business account. Their Customer Service Centre was advertised as operating 24 hours a day. I called at 17:15pm on a Friday and someone answered the phone and laughed at me because I called at such an unacceptable time and day! They said that nobody can help me because all the computers had been shut and everybody went home and when I asked what they did in case of emergency, he said 'nothing'! We will definitely end our contract with them.

We had the similar thing happen to us. We had originally approach this company for a quote only. They claimed to have insured our sailing dinghy and were hassling us for the renewal. We had in fact insured our boat through another company, but they still kept sending us letters implying we were insured with them and phoning us saying that they had our bank details. Avoid this company at all cost!
