Good Points: An unusual wine that deserves to be more widely available.
Bad Points: It is hard to find.
General comments: Demi Sec champers fills just 2% of the Champagne market, and at a recent tasting by top Sommeliers, only 9 versions were available. It used to be the sought after type in France a century ago. I hate Brut style (too sharp, acidic and vinegary). Demi Sec has a little sweetness added, but it is not a 'sweet wine' like Sauternes. My favourite was Mumm Cordon Vert tres riches, but it is no longer available in the UK. Sainsburys is a good inexpensive one to try. Makes a fine aperitif.
