I bought the 12 day programme at Harley Street to tone up before my weddings a few years ago. If you are like me, EducoGym will appeal and suit you if- You are NOT good at longer term, slower programs that need more patience, endurance and time to see results You are better at short sharp bursts of both exercises and very strict but short term, EASY TO FOLLOW diets You get a thrill from seeing results quickly You like interval training/training to the max for short sessions. I’m not overweight and was already a 10/12 dress size but wanted to be more 8/10 and really toned. What can I say? The guys are really friendly, Rich especially. They will weigh and mess rue you so you know its working. Each session targets 1 of 3 groups- bum/thighs, shoulders/chest arms/back (may have got the last 2 mixed up a bit but you get the essence!). you move, guided by the instructor around the weight carousel and it will take 15 mins, followed by 5 mins of intense abs exercises on a mat on your own. Bang- its over, you get changed (don’t need a shower) and leave. Feeling slightly weak at the knees and mighty smug as you walk past people smoking and tucking into plates of chips at local pubs on way back to Ox Circus tube! After a few days I was worried it wasn’t working (as was just eating cheese & avocados!) so had my weigh in again and had already lost 3 pounds. You HAVE to stick to the eating plan for it to work. This is super high fat/protein and zero carbs, but its do-able and you feel great. All in all I probably lost near ½ a stone and went back again the following year. The weights are all mostly machines you will find in any good gym yes- but difference sis the way its all in 1 carousel so easy to move around, the guys are with you to encourage you along, demonstrate how to move/position and set up the next machine to your exact requirements so you can go straight onto it and this means you are doing every movement perfectly, without a gap between and in no time. If only the cost was significantly less- i.e. Say a 10 day booster booster programme for £50-£75 I’d sign up again before every holiday/big event, but at over £200 I can’t afford it alas!

I have been training with Educogym at Canary Wharf for just over 6 months and have lost over 50 pounds (23 kgs) in this time. I find the low fat, low carb diet has made me feel so much better in myself but I have eased off on being as strict in terms of diet in the last few months as I approach my goal weight and I am still losing weight and toning up - my friends and family have been commenting every time they see me that the results are really noticeable so I am sticking with it!
The staff are motivating and friendly and I enjoy the gym experience, which is why I have recommended it to many of my friends.
Yes it is quite costly especially if you buy lots of supplements, but if I was doing one on one training sessions with a personal trainer it would be a lot more and the most important thing is I am getting results! And I know that I would slack off if I went to a typical gym with no one watching over me or encouraging me to stick with it and I would be wasting my membership fees anywhere else.

I was offered a 3 day FREE Trial, so seeing as it was free it would be harsh of me to give it a value for money score.
I did the three day trial and the guy who put me through my paces was very good, encouraging, and genuinely interested.
When the trial was over I had a "consultation" with the "Nutritionist" (not a protected title, by the way).
I was advised that I could do the 12 day intensive introduction.@'25/session
Plus '195 for supplements.
As I have elevated Iron levels, I was not interested in taking Iron supplements. I have (recently i.e. last 3 months) a very good diet and have lost considerable weight. I have no interest in taking Creatine or any other of the supplements which I was offered. I was told if I didn't buy the supplement pack, I couldn't do the 12 days. I was also offered that I buy them but just not use them????
Therefore,in my opinion, any gym which will not let you undertake what is essentially personal training(albeit good, enjoyable, and perhaps even effective)without buying a a bunch of supplements, makes me concerned.
Over the years and certainly in my late teens and throughout my 20's i did weight training and would have recieved some instruction. I was never told I must take a whole load of stuff to ingest other than good actual food.
I suggest you be aware of anyone Other than a Medical Doctor or a qualified Dietician who makes it a condition of personal training that you buy/take supplements.

I attended educo gym in Harley Street for about 2 years, found the programme very good the intensive training was a bit tough at times but overall well worth it.The trainers were very helpful and obviously into the programmes themselves, they certainly did everything they could to help me along. The supplements were a little pricy however. At the moment due to work commitments and distance I cannot make it but I still do a version of the programme at home. I would say it is well worth looking into but it is not for faint hearted trainers.
