    Good Points: Excellent course that gets better ever year
    A good golfing community, of course there isn't a golf club with out a few bad apples
    Good food and cheap drinks
    Regular competition as both senior and junior level, as well as events, meals and other functions


    Bad Points: Golfing isn't a cheap sport so it expensive is something you could say about almost all courses, it is good value for money but the signing on fee can put people off in the first year.


    General comments: Stamford Golf Course is a forever improving course, i've been a member for 8 years and every year the greens and fairways are better, some landscaping has been done to introduce more challenges and make the course more picturesque. The community side of the golf course is very good with regular events, competitions, and presentations etc. It's quite a challenging course despite not being very long due to its hillyness, a few dog legs, difficult plateau greens and a few out of bounds areas that can catch you out, primarily the field next to the third fairway.
    I'd recommend joining to anyone in the area considering taking up golf. Be sure to get involved though because that can be as enjoyable as the golf itself.
