    Good Points: Most enjoyable day of golf I have ever had (I have 70 rounds recorded in 2008). I had never played a true links course, just the American versions...nothing compares.


    Bad Points: Only bad point is that I live in Bermuda and cannot play the course again and again and again


    General comments: I would suggest that anyone who gets a chance to play the course play it. Wonderful shape, the groundskeeper must truly love his work and appreciate what players want in a course.
    In all honesty it was the best day of golf I ever had.

    Last week 2 of us were in Dublin for work. Managed to schedule an additional day for a bit of golf at the The Island Golf Club. Overall this is a really great course. The wind and the variety of shots makes the course. 1st nine very tight requiring accuracy. 2nd nine opens up a bit but playing some holes into the wind is a real struggle. The 18th into the wind is like a par 5.

    Would have scored a 10 except the sprinklers didn't always have distance markers. Beware, if you drive into the rough, ...
