my family and i have always covered with insure and go and we have always found them to be helpful, polite and reasonable. we get an annual policy which covers us to go away whenever we want all year for around £80. we have made two claims in the last 6 years and each was accepted. we provided all the evidence they asked for and had no problems whatsoever.

Totally useless insurance company, if you lose or damage anything without original reciept like my sons psp which was 2years old and damaged they have a grade system and apparently a 2 year old psp is not worth anything!! god forbid if you are 30 years old and injure yourself, Cheap crappy company they must be being investigated as all reviews say they dont pay out so why bother...........

Best have no insurance and know where you stand. I have not given up yet but they are refusing to pay a claim that is clearly covered in their policy. Unfortunately I found out too late that this is quite usual practice from them. Should rename these Insure and go to hell. Seems there is no 0 out of 5 option on your star rating but that is what they deserve.

InsureAndGo.com is a shocking and cynical rip off. I was robbed on holiday in India. I lost £1,000 worth of the items that you would reasonably carry with you on a holiday: SLR camera + zoom lens, ipod, etc. I got a polict report and I do have all the original receipts for these items too. But after checking the policy small print, I see that it states that all these items count as "valuables", and insureandgo.com will only pay out a total of £200 for "valuables"!!! So I lose £ ...

I took out an annual InsureAndGo Silver policy predominantly for the winter cover. However I went to France in August and my hotel room was broken in to. There was no safe, so my valuables were in a bag in the room. No sign of forced entry into the room and the hotel was disinterested. Made a claim for over £400 which included, cost of a replacement passport (I required an emergency passport as I was travelling again after arriving back in the UK), watch, stolen car key, money in the bag. ...

Buyer beware! I thought I was purchasing a 'gold standard' insurance policy but when I fell over a sprawl of Disney equipment at Disney in Florida and injured my neck & ankle I found to my cost that there is nothing golden about the Gold Insure and Go policy. Lots of administrative delays and errors and requests for information I'd already sent or didn't need to provide. I had to threaten the Ombudsman before I my case was referred to the Insure and Go solicitor. By this time, I'd been in co ...

I had planned to renew my policy as the level of cover is good and as I have not made a claim I had no reason to doubt the service. But when I called to change my expired credit card details I had to pay a 50p 'admin fee' to do so.
My reaction was that any insurer who wants to charge me for the priviledge of keeping my business strikes me as a firm who would not be good to deal with in the event of a claim.
From looking at the reviews, it would appear my instinct was correct.
I am also VERY glad ...

Wow what can I say apart from what a terrible terrible company! I wish I had read these reviews before buying my travel insurance since being cheap isn't value for money if they don't ever payout.

This claim has been ongoing since June and I have now had a letter from the MD of the company telling me their final response is that they're not going to payout. The reason is because I'm not able to provide them with my parent's household insurance details. I have tried everything in my power to get ...

I took out insurance from Insure & Go last summer and after reading everyone else's reviews, I'm wondering if you're talking about the same company as me! From buying the policy to making a claim I was treated fairly and with respect. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was friendly and very helpful. My claim didn't take long to be settled. They asked for a lot of information but that's normal because lots of people make fraudulent claims so they have to be careful. My advice to everyone would be t ...

Pretty much as the negative reviews say Insure and Go Travel Insurance will try and get off paying out for anything. Sent them all the necessary forms and evidence, police reports, receipts etc and yet they say are missing half of them( when sent by recorded delivery all stapled together). They seem to have an inability to actually read anything sent as are requesting things we have sent already such as proof of return date to UK following holiday. Now they want letters off our banks confirming ...

Keeping it simple: Insure and Go is a fantastic company! Got insured with them, claimed, received a cheque. Simple! Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family! ...In fact, I have! Loved the service, loved the price. Nothing to hate really!

Insure and Go is the worse Company we have ever dealt with. When we have tried to claim for hospital treatment we were informed that we did not declare an on going illness. We then asked them to listen to the phone call made when taking the insurance out. They did this and agreed we did declare this, but are still finding ways not to pay us. Each time we send further information they ask for something else. They should be called Insure and Woe. Pity we cant give them a minus star rating. Would n ...

Insureandgo travel insurance is best avoided as although they are only too keen to take your money they are in my experience atrocious at parting with any. Claims are passed to agents who can scour the fine print to avoid payment even if you suffer an accident which causes pain and in my case emergency dental treatment. Because this required a dentist removing my broken bridge teeth after my being hit in the face during a gale by a window shutter which cut lips and mouth and left me unable to ea ...

I suppose I shouldn't complain about Insure and Go when I had left it to my wife to arrange our travel insurance to Greece and their staff were so friendly to her in sorting out the details, even when she phoned them from abroad with a claim for my treatment after I suffered a nasty accident. However, it all went speedily downhill when I tried to claim for unavoidable emergency treatment and the service deteriorated into ignoring letters and desperate attempts by their agents to refute a claim. ...

Didn't have any problems with Insure and Go at all! Got the policy in minutes thanks to their nice and simple web-site. All the documents were emailed to me straight away and I got lots of useful information through the post too. Had to claim because my baggage got lost on the way their, was stranded in a foreign country with nothing! Called Insure and Go (using the number on the little policy card they sent me) and I was reassured by a lovely woman that I had cover on my policy for buying essen ...

I claimed genuinely for a lost ipod which cost me £150. and got back a measly £10.38.I had the original reciept and went through countless hours af giving Insure and Go my information over and over again just to be fobbed off with this rubbish effort of compensation that ain`t worth having! Its the the old bull story of small print or in there case small print which ain`t really there or may as well not be!

I think this Insure and Go Travel Insurance is a disgrace. I've always used insurance when going abroad, this was my first claim and I received pittance. We recently went on our family holiday for 2 weeks, on the 4th day received awful news of a death in my immediate family. Got flights home asap obviously put in a claim for our holiday and received next to nothing. What is the point of paying for holiday insurance if they don't pay out!
I certainly won't be using this company again any time ...

Insure and Go Travel Insurance have an automatic renew since 2009. you have to call them 21 days within receipt of the renew letter to cancel your automatic renewal, which is in the small print! failing that they will take money out of your account, each year unless you opt out of this by phone/letter. careful, as i almost ended up with 2 insurance policy, a hassel for every go and insure customer. i have used insure and go for over 4 years, next year i will not be renewing their policy, as rea ...

I was backpacking in China the last year and had two of my bags stolen, by two men on a motorbike. They drove up from behind me and ripped my bags off my shoulder, a situation I had no control over.
In my bag, I had all my essentials (creams, medication, make-up etc.) as well as phone, camera, MP3 player etc. Before my trip to China, I had taken the insurance policy which was meant to cover me for everything, I took the Gold option so I was fully covered.
After the incident, I contacted Insure ...
