    Bad Points: The service was bad at breakfast, so expect delays, dirtiness and disorganization.


    General comments: I have just returned from a weekend in London, where we stayed at the Windmill Hotel at Clapham Common. It is situated on the Southside of the common, and it is only a short stones throw away from Clapham Common Tube station, and it is sat on the South Circular Road, so the location is great.

    The Windmill Hotel is part of the Young's Brewery Group, and it has been awarded 3 stars. It is however easy to forget whilst standing in this large traditional building which is beautifully decorated, but you are soon reminded with the quality of the service, which on my visit, was very poor.

    The room was clean, of a very good standard and of a good size, and the bed was very comfortable. The car park was safe and secure, leaving me feeling comfortable leaving my car there. The cost was very high at £120 per night, but this could be put down to London prices, and don't think it reflects the service.

    The hotel itself is attached to a modern/traditional pub and a restaurant, so you won't be stuck for something to eat or drink, and in the room itself there was no noise from the bar, so this should not be a fear. I do believe that you would not stay here unless you were visiting friends or family like myself, and for this reason only I would recommend this hotel due to the location. If however, you are looking for any hotel in London, there are better out there, at a higher class and cheaper price.
