possibly one of the worst bikes ive ever owned, the wiring was beyond awfull, the engine was possibly one of the only good points about this bike. although the fuel injection on the bike was awfull and when excellerating it would always bogg before getting up to revs. (read more)

I've just bought myself a aprilia sx50 2010 model and I love it! For a 50cc bike it is one of the best one the market! Topping out at 64 with my full arrow exhaust system and getting there very fast she is a wonder to ride. Seen no 50 faster then it yet and I'm not sure if I will. Joy to ride and overall great bike and would definitely recommend one!:) (read more)

aprilia sx 50 i would highly recommend people to get one. i had a race not long ago with a cpi 50 and i left it for dead. my bike has a arrow exhaust and 80cc kit. it dose 66 mhp. it is still reliability with the 80 kit as long as you look after it. the build quality is spot on over all the aprilia sx 50 is a lovely bike (read more)

you should all buy a cpi sm 50 you get some problem but its nothing if you take care of the bike, i can get 65 on the flat and all i done to it was de-restrict it now i have a 70s kit on it doppler big bore exhaust and dellorto 21mm carb with open air filter im hitting about 80! aprilias are rubbish get a cpi! I have owned the bike for about a year now and has only had two months riding!! it has broke down within a week off getting back from the garage absoultly sh*t, the most speed you get out off it is 55 mph tops with a 70cc bore kit and arrow exghust. RUBBISH!!!
the only good thing is its looks.

these Aprilia SX 50 bikes are rubbish. one problem after another.
radiator leaks.
throttle cable snapped 3 times.
wheel bearings collapsed twice.
clutch cable snapped.
speedo stoped working.
cuts out wen it rains.
only good thing is the performance. mine did 58mph, 63mph down hill.
the bike is now dead after just 6000 miles.
dont buy any aprilia as they are all rubbish.

brilliant .. never had any trouble with it
always does good in bad weather never slips or anythink tires are brilliant for standard ones
very quick and reliable
i buyed mine other week and i love it to bits :) !
worth the money and there hard to get cheep so if you see one i would get it !!

The Aprilia SX 50 is a very good bike, quick and reliable.
One problem though, when i had an arrow-can put on it has no talk when accelerating from first.. That is until the power-band kicks in.

The Aprilia SX 50 is the best 50 out on the market. When you buy it it is derestricted but don't let that fool you. When it is de-restricted i got 55mph on the flat and 57 downhill. Then i bought an arrow racing exhaust and i got 65 out of it. also it is so loud it hurts to listen to. This could be interpreted in a good and a bad way........ mainly good! The bike was worth every penny and if you are looking for a 50cc get this because it is Italian and the best! (read more)

ive had this Aprilia SX 50 bike now for 2 years. The best 50cc motorbike by far! i bought this bike from a dealer, Brand new and standerd. i took the bike home, got insured and went out on it for the first time. i got it up to 34mph standerd and restricted. after a week or so of riding it i got bored with the speed. . . (which most 16 year olds will) After i run the bike in for about 200 miles me and my friend deristricted it, i took it for a quick test drive and got 50 - 53 mph out of it.... (read more)

I got my Aprilia SX 50 last june for around a grand and it had just under 8000 miles on it it does 55mph easy and at a push 58 on the straight and thats with everything as standard with an arrow exhaust it will do about 60-65 which for a 50cc is about as good as it gets especialy an enduro, when i got mine there was a rattle in the engine part and it was easily fixed and this was the woodruff key if anyone has that problem maybe that helps. I've had mine for a year now and it seems to be one problem after another, speedo broke, no electrics, cuts out in the rain and the throttle cable has snapped. I would not recomend this bike to anyone. (read more)

Good bike pretty fast for a 50 beats imported 50/125cc bikes or scooters. Very reliable bike had it for nearly a year and very rarely doesn't start first kick had it de restricted by the rocket center top speed is 65 mph down hill and about 55 - 58 on straight. (read more)

I have had my Aprilia for 6 months naw and im very plesed with it...if you de-restrict the bike it will be faster than pretty much all other bikes that are standard 50cc's on the road, the only bikes that can beat it would be the rs 50 and mabe some other sports bikes. This bike can do 50+ easy and mine did 61 when totaly standard...I'm putting a arrow exhaust system on mine to go with a new air filter. If your thinking of getting this bike then I would say go for it...its a truly amazing... (read more)

Breaks down a lot can sometimes be easy to fix only lasts about 1 or 2 years then it has to be scrapped or you have to get a new engine which is costly bearing seal up easily breaks wear easily. (read more)

This is a amazing bike you get a lot for your money. I ' ve had my Aprilia sx 50 for 7 months now and I've done well over 2000 miles its got hebo performance exhaust k&n air filter bigger sprocket on the front bigger sprocket on the back 70cc big bore kit I've got a 32mm carb and I can hit 95mph full revs do if you want bits they are hard to find but I found a web site in France and you can get lots of bits for your Aprilia sx 50 but if you cant find any web sites for Aprilia sx 50 tuning... once of the best performing and best looking 50ccs on the market if you are going to get one of these bikes be prepared to de-restrict it because to be truthfull its dangerously slow when factory restricted as its restricted to just under 30 mph .
but dont let this put you off this bike was well worth the wait to get it de-restricted i dont think im ever going to get rid of mine if youve got a chance of getting one of these DO IT .

Ive a sx 50, its a top bike and Ive done over 1000 miles, but it had its problems like gearbox oil seals gearbox berings. Since Ive had it deristricted it does 50 mph I would recommed this to anyone it is well built and I think looks gorgeous. (read more)

To be honest, the bad comments I have made are quite picky and I do a huge amount of miles on this bike for a moped, it just rolled over 4100 miles this week and I cover around 50 miles a day. Do not let my bad points put you off of buying one of these bikes because these are specific to my bike as it is an early model but there has been confirmation that Aprilia have resolved all of these teething problems.
This is the best moped on the market no doubt about it, I have just listed a few...

The Aprilia SX 50 is an awesome bike and I would happily have this over any other 50cc bike off the shelf, in my opinion, it's the best looking 50cc on the market. Everywhere I go I get nothing but looks and all for the good reasons and as it has the same engine as the RS50. It is also quick like you wouldn't believe with power bottom, mid range and top end. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. (read more)
