Good Points: Quite simply this children's TV show was a whole lot of fun. The characters were fab, the show was brilliantly cast, well scripted and acted. A real treat. Sue Devaney who played Rita Briggs was a real "hottie" in her angora wool jumper too.
Bad Points: I didn't really like the character Humphrey much and I also thought Jonny's pet dog's name Razzle was a little distasteful.
General comments: This show first broadcast on the BBC in 1985, illustrated the importance of strong family values to it's youthful audience. Despite certain difficulties that came our heroes way, little Jonny could always turn to his family in times of dilemma, despite their internal squabbles the Briggs' knew that they could always rely on one another for support. Jonny's character had to combat a set of girl twins at school who would always taunt him and repeatedly attempted to get him into trouble with his teacher. It was with great amusement how me and my brother would watch him wriggle out of trick situations. Fantastic stuff!!
