General comments: I didn't like Shannon airport because of my experiences with some staff, there was a lack of shops and eating facilities and there weren't any comfortable seats in the departures!

I wouldn't recommend Shannon airport to anyone because security is too slow (25 minutes), there's a lack of shops and restaurants and it takes ages to receive your luggage in arrivals. (We were waiting for our bags for about 15 minutes)

Shannon Airport is a lovely airport. Typically Irish -laid back.
Very busy in the mornings when the American flights get in but always quieter from after lunch.
Used as a stopover for the US army which has led to protests but in general, very quick checking,
Large duty free shop but because the main business is from the American markets, they usually close at around 6 or 7.
