Good Points: Good location and fairly pleasant. Expensive refurbishment upstairs, based on traditional ground floor. However with all that expense, I cannot see why they did not fit brass to fit, in with the old part of the hotel.
Bad Points: One guide said the decor was understated. I would say it was Ikea in oak. Vastly overrated and overpriced.
General comments: The Clarence Hotel in Dublin is overrated, overpriced and overhyped. We tend to go to expensive hotels, but on a price basis, avoid this and stay in a real class hotel. Oh and by the way you also get stung for breakfast as an extra!!
