Good Points: Really fast heat up and very good at making hair straight

Bad Points: After about eight months of often but not everyday use, plates blackened. A friend told me this was due to using styling products on hair before straightening but I don't think this could be the case for I don't use hair products as I think they damage hair more then blow drying or straightening do.

General comments: I was very pleased with the Remington Wet2Straight Nano Gold Hair Straighteners when I first got them. My sister and my cousin went out after using mine and got their own pair.
As I said though the plates didn't stay clean and the same thing happened to both my sister's and cousin's.
I've had mine for about 2 years now and as the plates are wrecked I'm replacing them with hair tools thermo pink ones. I hope the plates last longer on those.
As my nano gold ones still work they will be put in the back of my wardrobe for emergency use.

The 'ceramic' gold comes off after 6 months and needs to be binned. It was fantastic for 6 months. In My opinion the Remington Wet2Straight Nano Gold Hair Straighteners are a waste of money - should have put the money towards some GHD's

There's not much to say about a straightners, but oh wow these are amazing. It took me 15 minutes after having a bath for my hair to be straight and ready, where as usually it would take 45minutes to dry straighten then straighten again. These really are a life saver when your in a hurry.

I have owned two pairs of these Remington Wet2Straight Nano Gold Straighteners. I had the first pair for 6 months and the Gold coating started to come off leaving a white layer underneath. I changed the straighteners for another pair and exactly the same thing happened 6 months later. I am now going to get a refund on this item and not use it again.

After 6 months of using the Remington Wet2Straight Nano Gold Hair Straightener, the gold coating came off of the straighteners. I used no extra leave-in sprays on my hair. After exchanging them for a second pair, again after 6 months after using a heat protection spray made for use with straighteners, the coating started coming off again. I am now taking the Nano Golds back to the shop for a refund and will not use them again. Luckily they came from Boots where it is possible to get a refund ...

I bought these as I already had GHD's which although brilliant were drying my hair out. I thought as they were temperature adjustable that they would be better for my hair. Good in theory, but as mentioned above it is very hard to use the straighteners without adjusting the temperature. So basically, you can start off by straightening at say, 150 degrees & end up at 230 degrees which defeats the point!

    GHD's all is forgiven!

The temperature control on my Remington Wet2Straight Nano Gold Hair Straightener is located in such a place that when you use the irons it's very easy to unknowingly turn the temperature up or down.

I have fine, long, very frizzy hair, so used a low temperature setting and this certainly did straighten it from damp (not wet, towel dry hair before use).

However the ends of my hair are a little 'crispy' (only partly due to my unwittingly turning up the temperature up) so I am not happy abo ...
