Getting involved with Future Mortgage worst thing we have ever done, would never recommend them to anybody.Staff unfriendly and arrogant never spoke to the same person twice, even when they gave us a contact name. Can't wait to get out.

Made a complaint 5 days ago by email to one of the managing directors and still has not responded, so I chased abnd now she informs me someione else will be calling, at some point!!! AAaaaagghhhh
If I could give them NO STARS I would have!!!!- Read Guest's review (75 words)

Future Mortgages are inept. It would appear to be impossible for them to carry out any instructions or to supply answers to queries. You cannot get through the them at the top for love nor money. Apparently "they do not deal with the public". Well it is to be hoped that they deal with Ombudsmen because I have jusst put in a complaint and they are writing to Future for us.
I have never been so frustrated with a company before in my life. The staff you do get to speak to just do not seem t ...- Read Guest's review (133 words)

We tried to get a mortgage through Future, and gave them every little bit of information they needed and every week they just kept coming back and asking for more information, some of which is the same information that they had already had. But as they took so long they needed it again because it went out of date! After 4 months we could not take anymore and went with anouther lender all sorted in two weeks.- Read neverminda's review (76 words)

We had a mortgage in principle agreed in January 2008, it is now April 2008 and we are still waiting for the mortgage offer to go through to our solicitors. This company is quite poor, they have asked for documents which we have sent to them thinking this should be the last thing to send and then they come back and ask for further documents. This process has been going on for 4 months now and it is ridiculous that it should take this long. It's beyond unfair, i would never recommend this company ...- Read Guest's review (114 words and 1 comment)

Future Mortgages got us decision in principle for 100%, but lost the house because the process took to long and the vendor decide to let the house out. we lost £600 in fees and evaluation. We were not happy. Although we still trying to get a mortgage because they already have the paperwork and going with other lenders, we would have to start all over again. Very slow, Can be frustrating at times not 100% recommend, high rates- Read mikey753's review (75 words)

Very slow processes.
Unnecessary bureaucracy at Future Mortgages - they were not involved in the main transaction, just had a second charge on our house, but made us provide all new information as if we were applying for a new loan - then sat on it for 10days.- Read Guest's review (89 words)

My Wife and I used future for our first mortgage 3 years ago and they were incredibly slow and the offer didn't come through until the day before settlement. We are moving house now and thought it'd be easier to stay with them but it wasn't, They were taking ages again and churning out official offers that we hadn't asked for and for amounts that were nowhere near what we needed. If you have bad credit there are other lenders. Tell them all the problems you have had and they look upon you bette ...- Read lynsey2684's review (104 words)

When we took out a mortgage with this Future Mortgages three years ago, the interest rate was 6.99%. That wasn't too bad at the time and was comparable to most of the others. they even had a free phone number. There were lower rates available, but I couldn't be bothered shopping around. --- Big mistake.
Since then, they have put the interest rate up 5 times, to a peak of 9.5%. Ridiculous for a mortgage rate, there are credit cards offering a lower rate!!
All the other mortgage companies were ...- Read Alexandercsp's review (271 words)

Don't be tempted by their initial low rates, i wouldn't want anyone else to lose their home. When i first took out the mortgage it was a low rate which more than doubled over the three years, we never missed a payment in the whole 3 years but it is now so high that we have struggled to make payments. We were getting letters probably every other month regarding the interest rate going up and it absolutely crippled us. Every time we spoke to them on the phone they were rude and unhelpful. We are h ...- Read Guest's review (120 words)

Unhelpful customer service when you have a concern. Each aspect of their service often reluctant to put you through to another department. They'd rather give you another 0870 number to ring again directly.
I can't wait to get rid of their product and would almost give up a month's salary to re mortgage with another lender but i'm stuck with them for now till my hefty penalty tie-in period expires.
If you are considering taking up a mortgage with them I beg you please please ......- Read Guest's review (153 words)

My partner and I have found it difficult to get a mortgage as his credit history is very poor. Our broker suggested Future and we were just pleased someone would give us a mortgage. The process has been going on for 2 months. The paper work sent to them electronically sat on their server for 2 weeks and they stated they had not received anything. Everyday they asked for something new. They kept promising an offer and we waited 2 weeks for this and it was only bad news. We were told there as an u ...- Read cpo83's review (312 words and 1 comment)

Future Mortgages was recommended by a broker. He knew the seller of the house we were buying wanted a quick sale, but Future were so slow, constantly asking for more paperwork, promising us 100% and then changing their minds to 95%, promising and promising the offer would be there tomorrow, but tomorrow never came and we lost the house plus £600 paid in fees and valuation. That said we still went with them for the next house we found as they had already done most of the financial paperwo ...- Read Chrissy3280's review (157 words)

Here's what happened: the house I'm buying didn't have permission from the council for alterations done to the bathroom, so at the beginning of negotiations for the house, my solicitor asked the seller's solicitors to provide a report from the council outlining what needed to be done to obtain retrospective permission. 4 weeks later the seller came back with an architect's letter stating that basically it was fine, but it needed an extractor fan to get permission. We took a view and went back ...- Read spaniel's review (458 words)

I have read other poor reviews regarding Future Mortgages and although we have only had a mortgage for 7 months we have had no problems. We have however met all payments on time and had no reason to contact Future Mortgages. I would not recommend Future Mortgages to lenders who could easily obtain a prime mortgage but for borrowers who are finding lending for a mortgage a struggle as long as you can meet payments we have had no issues.- Read kellykeith's review (104 words)

I have also had problems with them! I am tired of speaking to foreign people. I got my mortgage in England, and I would rather speak to somebody here who I can communicate with properly, as the language barrier causes a lot of problems when dealing with Future Mortgages.- Read GarryBarnes's review (51 words)
