    Good Points: Extremely Cheap.


    General comments: I recently bought a Dell Dimension 2400 for just 320 EUROS - what's that? About £200! Directly from DELL. It arrived the very next day, incredibly. That's with a 17' monitor(that's really a 16' monitor), keyboard, mouse, Win XP, Works, modem, etc.
    Ok, there's not much room for expansion, no AGP slot, but if you just want a PC to go on the internet, read emails, a bit of word processing and some music, it's a bargain.

    My boss buys from Dell regularly as they are SO cheap! Doesn't listen to my recommendations to avoid them like the plague.

    At the first sign of problems I am supposed to sort it out, contacting Dell to ask for help - forget it (they don't care!). So I have to spend my time sorting out the mess.

    Out of twenty PC's in our office. Six have major problems that Dell don't want to send an engineer round for as they claim it's software - when we have done a workaround & know it's hardware. Seven ...

    First the unit for the Dell Dimension 2400 comes damaged then I have extreme difficulty in contacting Dell, their India call centre is not helpful and the staff are extremely rude.
    They have not apologised or even offered compensation due to hassle and the stress involved.

    Apart from poor customer service, with them being rude, unhelpful, never answering the phones, always on hold and poor courier service the system I got seems good and worth the money.

    In all I would probably purchase another Dell in the future. The Dell Dimension 2400 is sleek looking and a good computer for your money. And might I add that I ordered the computer on May 11th at 11:00 p.m. I had my computer on the 18th of May. And I added on a lot of option's. I wasn't in any way expecting it that fast. Great computer.

    Having had a few different Dell's in the past, I was not too pleased when the boss told me he had just ordered 4 Dell Dimension 2400 systems.

    When they arrived, after a respectable few days, it was my task to set them all up and check them out.

    The system comes in two seperate boxes, one with the Base Unit, Keyboard, Mouse, Cables and CD's. The second box has the Monitor.

    Both boxes are quite large, and it helps to have a second person with you to get the monitor out of the box.

    My Dell Dimension 2400 computer (about 4 months old) went bad, tech support wastes countless hours of my time trying to fix the problems, for the past month, even sent a tech out to replace the hard drive, minutes after he left, i'm back to calling dell with same old problem, only to spend hours more being transferred from here to there. Currently I'm waiting for a call back to see about an exchange. Nothing but a big hassle, lots of hours on the phone and who knows how much more it will cost me ...
