General comments: Sadly Wetherspoons is the stain on the underwear of Manchester nightlife. I'm no Einstein but a simple equation tells you that Cheap Grog + Nutcases = Violence. Sadly Wetherpoons is full of unpleasants and not so sadly cheap grog, therefore it is inevitable trouble can rear it's ugly head. With no music on either these places really don't have much going for it apart from cheap booze. This comes at a price though, it makes Wetherspoons the focal point for society's lowest common denominator - yep you guessed it - The Alcoholic. Like a fly attracted to dog droppings 'The Alky' will always be found in 'Spoons'. The Picadilly venue is a hole and this is a clear example of this. The Paramout branch is an offender on a lesser scale. It's a shame really because with a music lisence and a stricter vetting policy on vagrants, these pubs could be greatly improved.
