“Top marks and thanks to landlords!”

We decided to have our son's christening reception at the Chequers Inn and we were so pleased with our decision! Superb service from start to end and hot buffet put on by Stuart was truly amazing and brought compliments from all! We simply handed over decorations to the landlord the day before and turned up after the church service to exactly what we wanted followed by a large range of hot and cold foods. Our second visit to the Chequers at Berrick Salome in a couple of months and we weren't disappointed. Last time it was a quiet evening drink, child-free (great wine and a lovely cheese board). This time kids in tow. Firstly, the staff, in particular the new(ish) owners, really couldn't do enough for our tribe with children of mixed ages and grandparent - extra straws, colouring, amazing fresh bread and good wine kept us all happy'til our food came which was a little slow but incredibly...
