Good Points: Design of body is good enough for this class mobile, battery is fantastic, also the screen still good.

Bad Points: When you write an SMS, the text is slow appearing and the housing is difficult to find spare parts for.

General comments: I bought this Ericsson T65 on August 2002, and until now this phone still working nice, specially the battery, screen and sound. But the problem is when use for write an SMS, the text appears so slowly.

If you're looking for a cheap 2nd hand phone from a pawn shop, don't get this one. I bought my Ericsson T65 on a plan and finally the 24 months have expired. After 6 months the phones battery charging port didn't connect properly with the actual battery charger plug. Solution? Fork out $100 for a new charger even though the phone was still under warranty....
From then on this phone has been a great annoyance. It switches itself off randomly, it randomly crashes/turns off when trying to access " ...

My Ericsson T65 was exactly 3 years old when it was stolen. I was sad to see it go. It was still small and cute in a simple way. Its features are simple but adequate if you want to call and send sms messages and do a couple of other fun things in turquoise. The battery wont quit for at least 2 days even with severely painful radiation burns to your brain. 4 days on regular duty and 5 if you have no friends..I had to fork out a bit back in the day..but it's dirt cheap now..get it..it's a lovely ...

The Ericsson T65 is a good mobile phone, it's loaded with features, has an awesome display using 4 level grey scale and upto 6 lines of text. Other reviews claim the T65 has dodgy reception, but I live in a remote part of Australia and still get FULL reception, they also say that the buttons are too close together I have no trouble whatsoever typing with the keypad, being a youth your always sending pictures and animations, this phone is great for it, highly recommended to any1

The Ericsson T65 is the worst phone I've ever owned. Often refuses to connect a call with no reason. Any bad sim contact will lock up phone. Mic is on rear of case and picks up so much noise!!! Keys are soft small and hard to press. Menu & SMS system is painfully slow. Transmit power seems poor (people often can't hear me). Earpiece is 'shrill' making converstions unpleasent.

I own this phone over a year now, so I must compare it with phones of its class/age. Its best characteristic is the battery: It lasts over 5 days, 24h-operation (after one-year use!), it has never let me down during a call, even if the battery was completely empty, and generally it persuaded me never to buy a nokia again (had a 3310 before, which allowed me a max of 30 mins of speaking with a full battery). No complains about the features, its size and design are still easily acceptable and the m ...

Most of the reviews mention that the phone often switches itself off. I had the same problem at first, but fixed it myself with a little piece of paper. All it was, was the sim card that was not exactly held securely in place. Just fold up a piece of paper and stick it behind the sim. Problem solved. Otherwise, very robust - dropped the thing many times with considerable force and no problems. Fantastic battery life - I switch it off at night, and can last for over a week. Love the styling, size ...

The phone was recommended to me by a sales person at Optus World Melbourne... (although since then he has left & I have yet to talk to anyone from Optus World who has anything nice to say about any of the Ericcson phones)...
    - The SMS function did not work from the start...
    - uploading/downloading of any data is NOT possible via the phone... even though it was advised it did.

To make a long story short - after 10 months of grief including software & hardware problems, they (Sony Ericcso ...

I read a lot of negative reviews in this forum about the T65, I bought my T65 several months ago and I'm still very pleased with it. The battery live is great I charge around one in two weeks, the negative part of the long battery live is that I forget sometimes where the charger is.

The T65 is a mobile telephone; if you look for more it is maybe not the best choice. All works the software to exchange data with MS Outlook pretty good.

I don't know about prices of this telephone in the rest ...

I chose this Ericsson T65 mobile phone because of its features. I am now waiting for my 3rd replacement handset. The first one lasted a month before I sent it in for repair. They upgraded the software and reset the sim contacts, 2 days later it was back in, and I had to wait 2 weeks for a replacement. The second handset also lasted about a week before it went totally dead - the first time I tried to recharge it. I am still waiting for my 3rd handset to arrive. It has been 2.5 weeks now, and ...

Its a very small light phone, but I've had continual problems with resets, lockups and not being able to get into menus. Its been in service for 2 weeks now because Ericcson is not supplying replacement parts in good time. The keys while being small, are also spongey and stiff making them difficult to use. The predictive text input is very slow.

I have had this Sony Ericsson T65 mobile phone now for 8 months. The features on this phone are excellent. The performance of the phone lets it down, mainly in the battery life.

I am considering another Ericsson, as I understand the T65 was plagued with problems since its release. I may go for a T600 as I do not need blue tooth.

I could live with this Ericsson T65 mobile phone if it did not keep dropping the conection. The shop told me this was the Phone not the Network. I agree. I think ill be Getting a Nokia next time.
A year's Contract is a long time to be stuck with a bad phone.

I bought my phone about two months ago and have took it to service after three weeks of using. Display failed, power went off by its self and I got stuck in the menus for a few times. I chose it because it was probably the best alternative for Nokia (and it had lots of better properties).

I vote for this T65 phone for #01, after using Nokia 3310, 5210, 8110, Erricson T20e, T28, A2628, A3618, R600 and a lot more phones. For people who can't efford T68i or some one just need a smart handy phone for funky usage this is the phone!

I bought T65 about three weeks ago from Australia Vodafone. This is my second ericsson handset before i used A3618.
Most reviews i read complained that it automatically restarts in the middle of a process. I did experience it three times when i just bought it but never had it ever since.
I am not sure if Ericsson Australia has fixed it or what.
So far my only complain is that sometimes it is very slow in doing some tasks such as in transition from editing sms to sending it. Another problem i ...

I bought this phone in late november 2002. Its performance was ok when compared to other phones but slow response rate for menu navigation, writing messages, gprs failing, display failing, battery not showing the correct standby and talk times, user created ring tones play at a faster rate, phone gets stuck in some menus.
Apart from that, this is a good phone. had it sent to Ericsson for repairs twice and on the 2nd time, I requested a new phone as this phone was giving me trouble all the time ...

I bought this phone from an Ericsson authorized dealer here in Chennai in December 2002 and I had my phone exchanged today because the text size was not changing for the call list and SMS inbox! The battery life was low on the 1st phone but on the new phone too, it is the same. As another user had mentioned on this website, after a full charge, the phone does not show more than 179hours standby time, which is far less than the 300 hours stated in the manual. I too understand that the standby and ...

I have also had an Ericsson T65 for the past few months and have experienced none of the problems I have read about. It doesn't hum, it doesn't affect anything else, it has never locked up nor had any sort of software glitch?
I wonder if these problems took many months to appear or if they were there out of the box for most people?? I think it's an awesome phone, and for less than AUD$200 outright it's awesome value. I am incredibly happy with my T65.

The Ericsson T65, while having good features, does not have an infrared port.
Also, my phone does not seem to live up to promised standby time. My area has very low coverage, zero to 2 bars at most. My battery life lasts for a maximum of 60 hours with little usage even.
Even after chargin until full, the status gives standby time as only 130 hours. Is this because of the low coverage? Is this normal?
The phone also seems to switch itself off when the battery reaches 1 bar or so, even if the p ...
