    Good points: easy to use, quite reliable, features are good, database update is good.

    bad points: sometimes misses some files to scan so I have to re-scan again

    Overall: AVG Anti Virus Is a nice antivirus, I tried the free one before and that is reliable. I'm quite satisfied with its performance compare with Norton/symantec.

    I started using AVG Anti Virus free several years ago. This was after quickly becoming dissatisfied with McAfee and Norton which were such resource hogs. They could bring your system to a crawl. In addition McAfee was almost impossible to remove completely. After several month's I purchased the licence and have never been disappointed. I have never had to use AVG's tech support and cannot comment on it but a simple reinstall of the software may have helped a previous reviewer.

    My AVG inexplicably stopped working back in May. I emailed the technical support to ask what the problem was, quoting the relevant error codes. They are extremely slow at replying sometimes taking up to ten days, which is just unacceptable when your virus cover is down in the meantime. That fact, and the fact that you have paid them for cover do not seem to make them reply any faster. The alternative is their very expensive technical support line which I object to having already paid for the cov ...

    AV AntiVirus is great, quick and efficient.Easy to use, quick download, fast working.Free which for me is the best point!Doesn't throttle your bandwidth and CPU.Looks slightly outdated in my opinion compared to that of Norton but still great as it's free and actually works!Well recommend AVG Anti Virus to anyone looking for a Anti Virus piece of software.
