This is our first transaction with Nationwide Car Sales . It has so far proved to be a smooth and financially beneficial experience. New Nissan Qashqai delivered with 5 weeks. Both Ian & Luke provided not only a professional service but also left their competition standing at the starting line. Nationwide Cars were the only discount car operation which took the time to phone me direct regarding my original on-line inquiry, two others emailed an auto-response, whilst 4 more concerns have still to reply!!! Yet again Nationwide Car Sales have delivered excellent service hence the reason I have used and recommended them more than once. Their price for my Mazda CX5 was much better than the local dealers "special price" and all the arrangements were seamless as usual. The added benefit of a trade-in on my existing car was great and the swap over of vehicles at my work place was swift and efficient. When taking delivery of the car, i carried out a visual inspection of the car (in the Rain) i found a support bolt on the right hand side wheel arch that holds the wheel arch trim on. which i pointed out to the delivery driver and informed him i would get a replacement from the Nissan dealer. In response to this review I can confirm that at the time of the handover of the vehicle the customer signed the Delivery Handover sheet which confirmed that the vehicle was received in perfect working order and NO damage or comment was recored on the Handover Sheet when the vehicle was signed for and dated.
It was some 2/3 weeks after delivery that the customer contacted Nationwide Cars to say that a bracket which was connected the front wing had been damaged.
Immediately Nationwide Cars contacted the supplying dealer to inform them of the damage.
The supplying dealer confirmed that they had not damaged the vehicle and it had gone through a Pre Delivery Check and NO damage was reported prior to handover to the customer, they also contacted Nissan to inquire if the vehicle had been damaged and repaired in transit.
Nissan also confirmed back that the vehicle had left the factory and had not been damaged and delivered to the supplying dealer in perfect factory condition.
In conclusion both the supplying dealer and the manufacturer could only assume that as they had not damaged and repaired the vehicle prior to handover and the fact that the customer did not make any written comment on the Handover Sheet and signed to confirm that the vehicle was handed over in perfect working order that the vehicle must have been damaged with or without the customers awareness after they had taken delivery of the vehicle.
Whilst Nationwide had spent a considerable amount of time liaising between the supplying dealer and the customer
As a result of Nationwide Cars influance with the supplying dealer and as a gesture of goodwill the supplying dealer agreed to pay for the cost for the damaged brackect to be replaced more that this Nationwide Cars was powerless to change the outcome of the situation as both the dealer and manufacturer had confirmed that the vehicle had not been damaged and repaired by them together with the fact that it was some 2/3 weeks after the handover of the vehicle did the customer report any problem.

I cannot comment on the individual circumstances of this situation BUT my only worry though as a consumer with no mechanical or professional knowledge of cars is that I many not spot a problem such as a bracket needing to be repaired or a car being repainted -that is likely to be picked up by professionals at the dealership. Are you suggesting therefore that customers should get their car delivered into the hands of a mechanic/dealership so they can check that there has been no damage not spotted by the checkers or in transit? I personally would not know unless it was obvious. I probably therefore would not notice till sometime after when it might become more obvious or when a mechanic comments or informs me.

Great upfront but spent 16 weeks of trying to get the V5C documents 6 months afer they were agreed to be released. Was given the run around with blatent lies and ended up having to complete a V62 to get the vechicle registration documents. Had too pay £25.00 for this. After writing this i was contacted by Ian Whitecross who was hugely apologectic and explained the reasons for the delay in great deal. After listening to this i had a full understanding of the delay issues and that in fact the delay was nothing to do with Nationwide. Ian on the same day is sent a cheque for £25.00 for the payment on the V62. It was a really nice touch for Ian to contact me direct and make the effort and after explaining the issues he has now re-intalled my faith and confidance in Nationwide Cars.

Like others, I was a bit jittery about buying a new vehicle online. I needn't have worried though, Luke and Ian are efficient, friendly, helpful and are easy to contact. My first Sportage fell through, but in no time they'd secured another one. The savings on forecourt prices is well worth the wait. Having wasted an hour in my local dealer trying to find the price of a Ford Fiesta I was finally given a special price after the salesman obtained the okay from his Area Manager. After ordering a car in Dec 10 and waiting eight months I was told the car was at the dealers. One month later I am told the car is not available. Whoever was at fault, I the customer, did not receive what was ordered. I constantly had to call for an update to be continually told everything was OK. Eventually told that problems of delivery went as far back as January. Got my deposit back but this does not compensate for a lack of a car. No other compensation forthcoming. Certainly would not... I was extremely happy with this service and saved in excess of £3000 when I bought my new Megane. The only thing that let this service down was that it was four weeks late than originally expected. Ordered new spec car back in June 10 for Sep 10 delivery and paid £350 deposit. In Sep, delivery was put back till Nov because Renault had halted production. In Nov I was given new date of week 51. When I explained this was unacceptable, they rang round dealers the same day and were able to get a same spec car immediately but not the colour I had stated. I saved £5000 by buying a pre-reg Megane Coupe from Nationwide. I paid the deposit of £1000 by credit card, so that was safe enough, and the balance AFTER delivery of the car using an online bank transfer, once again a safe form of payment.

Ok where do I start with this. We placed an order with nationwide cars back in June 2010 paid the deposit of £350, we were told the car would be ready sometime in august. In august we recieved a call saying the car had arrived and arranged delivery for 1st Sept. 1st sept came and went and no car arrived after many phone calls and emails later turns out the finance had not being sorted at all and none of the optional extras we ordered and paid for were actually fitted to the car. The boys at NationwideCars really sorted me out on the right car at the right price.. loads cheaper than the showroom and they delivered it just as quick, with a full warranty, roadside assistance and tax to my door within 6 weeks.
