Good Points: It was good as a pram and does fold up easily
Bad Points: I feel it does not bear up to heavy use
General comments: Mamas and Papas Pliko Pramette - My daughter is now nearly a year old and I brought this pramette as it had such great reviews. I am really disappointed on how it has lasted. It is now creaking and feels as though its joints are loose, really rickety.
I do do alot of walking as I do not drive but surely for the amount of money this product cost I would expect something that lasts?

This pushchair is better for me now my son is older (nearly 2) he sleeps really well in it and enjoys the ride! I don't recommend buying this because it turns into a pram in pram mode it didn't seem very comfy, straps could be felt and I found it too roomy for a newborn.

I bought this pushchair at the beginning of January 2007 for my daughter who was born at the end of that month. As I purchased this pram online with the car seat to match I was very excited when all the boxes arrived at my mum and dad's house, where my dad built the pram up.When I first saw the pram I was delighted, but later panicked when I had a go at changing it to a buggy. The harness did not look safe to me at all - in fact I was convinced there was something wrong with it, as on the websit ...

This is a good pram, a little on the expensive side it looks good not too easy to change from pram mode but when you have done it a few times you get used to it and can do it in a few mins, one thing I will say is I'm not happy with the harness situation at all my baby is 9 weeks old and a big baby and the harness still doesnt fit him! Also when in pram mode there is no harness at all which is not very good as I live in a first floor flat and every time I go out my son goes up and down the stair ...

Nice looking pram, easy to fold up and put away. The harness does not fit properly and does not secure the baby into the pram. I would like to know if anyones baby has had a leg injury whilst using this pram. If so can you put a reply on the review centre.

As you can tell from my points above, myself and my wife have experiencing a significant number of major ergonomic problems with the Pliko P3 pramette, which only blind-side you in the later months on usage. The most serious issues are : the back of the chair is only 9 inches wide, due to the zipped side panels encroaching on the originally 12 inch available space. Our 6kg, 6 month old child is already shoulder-to-shoulder with the side's of the buggy when sitting back, and must be placed in the ...

Apart from this buggy being full of safety problems the mamas and papas customer service is awful.
I am genuinly concerned that a baby/ toddler is going to get seriously hurt, It is sold as a 5 point harness but only 3 are ancored and attached to the seat, The arms are literally a loop, allowing a baby to lean really forward, weight goes over and they fall.
The breaks do not stay on, they are cheap plastic and just unclip. Very dangeous.
Can not put up nor collapse one handed as advsertis ...

Seriously consider all the points of buying a pilko pramette, it was "OK" when my little girl was in pram mode, except for the straps could be felt and the pram doesnt "lay flat as advised" , she was 4 months by the time i HAD to change in to a stroller as it was too small.
Now the straps are awful they have a waist strap with the over shoulder starps attached, so all that is in effect holding baby in is by the waist. Not good when they are so little and need extra help. even worse when the lea ...

I think the pushchair is good, just not suitable for rural areas, perfect for inner cities. Just a note to say, if you're looking for a pushchair try and go for a 'five point harness' rather than a three point as this supports and secures baby more I think this has caused some confusion. A harness that is not attached to the backrest of your pushchair is called a 'free flowing harness' and yes it does allow more movement, but is NO less safer as the depth of the seat is deeper, thus proportionin ...

We wanted to buy the best and believed that prizes are given for a reason therefore decided to buy this very recommended mamas and papas push chair.
1- As a pram mode: Very uncomfortable for the baby
- You can fell the straps from the harness underneath
- After few weeks when the baby was growing there was not such total flat pram (as advertised by this company). The baby cannot lie flat due to the poor design and instead lies with his head at a lower angle than his legs. He ended up with his ...

We bought the Pliko Pramette following months of searching Mothercare and Mamas and Papas, Babies R Us etc. We fell in love with the friendly sales pitch at Mamas and Papas and decided on the Pliko Pramette as a complete travel system. We loved how quickly the lady in the shop transformed the pram from pushchair mode with ease... However, this was prior to our daughter being born and as soon as she was in it, was a totally different thing altogether. In pram mode, you can still feel the straps ...

I bought the pliko + with all the extras, apparantly its the next model up from the prammette and it was over £500 for the whole lot. I wanted a pushchair that turned into a pram but i regret buying it as its a waste of money. When in the pram mode my baby can not lie flat due to the poor design and instead lies with his head at a lower angle then his legs. The buckles for the pushchair mode can not be removed or pushed out of the way so they dig into his back when he's in the pram mode. T ...

I bought the Pliko Pramette in 2006 when it was on offer with the car seat and carrycot. I was researching different brands of prams throughout my pregnancy and the pramette always came out on top. I thought it was the best thing I bought until my son got older. After the first year, I didn't need to use the car seat or carrycot anymore because my son outgrew them. I started to notice that the brakes would unlock when I travelled on a bus especially when it turns. There were a few close calls wh ...

the older design with a proper fitting full harness was a great pushchair. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE NEW SEMI-FIXED HARNES FOR SAFETY REASONS AND THE RISK OF INJURY (see attached notes)

I purchased a Mamas and Papas Pliko Pramette for my new born and was happy with it for a few weeks until I decided to venture onto public transport. The brakes are verging on dangerous and unclick themselves despite me applying them firmly several time on each side.
I've been close to tears once having had such an awful journey on a busy bus.
I returned the pushchair to M&P and they 'fixed' it twice, it didn't make a jot of difference. I've since learnt that John Lewis have stopped stocking ...

The Mamas and Papas Pliko Pramette is the best pushchair I have ever had, and I have had a fair few. This is now my third P3, and I still love it. You can use it for going out in a car. My Ma has got a Saab convertible and it fits great in the boot, and I can fit the Navetta carrycot in there as well. It is fab to push, and my little one is so comfy in it. He loves it. The basket is a nice size too. I do not know how people can not like them. The harness is fine as well, as long as when it is ro ...

Overall a great buy. Can't see us having to buy a lighter buggy/ stroller as soon as I thought. Great value for money, pity the pram insert and stroller lining weren't included. Car seat could be better.
