I applied for finance through getmecarfinance.com, before I started application the person I spoke to on live chat (myles) said I wouldn't need a deposit as I told him we didn't have one, so we went ahead with the online form, paid the £25 fee thinking he would help us. He kept telling me he was getting us finance which he said he did eventually, we have no proof of this apart from an email, he said he could give us £300 for our car which we could use as deposit, then said it wasn't... You were told you might need a deposit and we were trying to get you a car to fit in with your £300 deposit. You basicly gave us 24 hours to do this. Were you offered finance? the answer is YES. At no point did we miss lead you. We have lots of customers who are happy with our service, we lend to everyone

Exactly! and what happens is that they match you to their mysterious panel of lenders, (all will refuse you) and then you will have to choose a car from their stock! This is where it gets hilarious! their stock is so old that most models around that age will be well and truly worn out by now. They expect you to take out 3 years finance on cars which are 2002/2003 plates! absolutely laughable ! most of those would already have been around the clock and/or are simply close to the end of their useful lives.These cars are what people with good credit part exchange at a dealer to buy a new car with and this lot seem to think they can market them like late models. I refer to getmecarfinance.com not welcome. They also took £25.00 from me just to look at their old has been's and refused to refund it. Don't get caught with this scam.

Do you know something! I had a work colleague loan me the money eventually, and guess what? all interest free! I bought a 2009 car which suits me, unlike the rubbish you offer for sale, most of which has had its day and around 10 years old! at a premium price! people avoid this rubbish dealer who is merely profiteering on peoples misery, these cars can be obtained at auction for one fifth of what these clowns are charging you!

They are a complete waste of time, I would seriously question whether they even have a panel of lenders?, they want to flog you old charges that are 10 or 12 years old and expect you to pay around £4000 plus for the priviledge, do yourself a favour, avoid these clowns and if you can get around £1500 together get to the auction's , I saw a 2007 renault clio for £1275 not long ago, this shower will charge you £5000 for the same thing.

Numpty nuts - sounds like it's not Welcome Car Finance you had the issue with, but the finance branch cos you either wouldn't or couldn't pay! I assume you can read so you will have known how muck you had to pay. The reason you had to go to WCF is because you had poor credit - and it looks like you have not paid them again - stop being a victim and take ownership of your life.

welcome car finance in Castle Donnington forged my signature on my finance docs and added a warranty and a paint protection pack which i didnt ask for. complete cowboys and fraudsters. they never answered my complaints, i went to the FOS, FSA and BBC Watchdog. Beware of welcome bunch of thi eves paid a deposit for a car which i was later told i couldnt have because i had failed the credit score, even after filling in all the paperwork , v5, credit agreement and sighning my car over to them as part of the deal. Had to fight for my money back and my own logbooks. Avoid CHRIS from livepool office, oh by the way i paid my dep to them half an hour before and was told it was no longer on site along with my v5. I tend to agree with the reviewer - Welcome Car Finance (who supposedly closed in 2009) should be blamed for everything!!
There is a half wit seeming to defend them on this forum who, over a period of months, has left numerous comments against genuine reviews of exceptionally poor service.
The person is a deluded loon. just ignore him/her and one day...if everyone is really really nice...they'll go away and take their friends from WCF with them.
You will know them by their comments - they usually use the word slanderous and spell know as 'no'. They also repeatedly claim that WCF closed in 2009 - which makes you wonder how WCF call so many people?
Referring to the person as a dummy would be an insult to mannequins....but still not remotely slanderous.

Remember that- couldn't get credit else where....thats why you get charged those high rates, becuase your HIGH RISK. We got a car 3 years ago which cost £3995. We have been paying £157 a month and have missed a few payments over the years totaling around £500. Due to the interest we still owe just over £3000... We have paid £4500 or more which the cost of the car is now paid..
I am going to see if I can do anything about not payying such a high interest when the car is already paid...
If all else fails I have the right to return the car and not pay anymore

i brought a car in 2007 it spent 2 weeks of the 3 weeks i had it in garage for them to say there was nothing wrong. being unhappy with this i returned the vechicle welcome accepted it back and i thought that was the end of it!

I've been dealing with the Dartford office, and found them always to be very polite and helpful. Welcome Car Finance- probably the most incompetant company one could be associated with. Bought a Mondeo off them, supposed to come with a full aa insoection- rubbish. The windows didnt work, the timing chain snapped and had to have literally a new engine replaced. The interest is astronomical, the people who work for them are brain dead and have not got a clue what the are doing.

They charged 25.00 for 2 calls they did not have to make and 10.000 for 3 letters they did not have to write but that didnt matter they still added the money to my payments. hi i got a car from them as well they gave me the trash about getting a BMW, i got a vectra and i have had nothing go right with it just after six months of having it it broke down and welcome jus pushed it away i told them i wouldnt expect a car that is less that 4 years old to break down and they were oh well. total con im trying to claim my ppi back as the bloke told me to get it as it will be cheaper to get the car what a joke

got a nissan primera 52 plate about 2 years ago within the first year i needed to get new brakes & a new timing chain. I have just put it in the garage now to be told i will probably need a new engine. I bought an 04 reg Megane from these merchants with a 4 year repayment plan, before i'd even visited the post office to get my road tax the car had broken down. To cut a long story short after making over £6000 in payments of £300per month (plus my trade in) i still owed £6500 on a car which spent more time in the garage than on the road!

<br/>I cut my losses and added the remaining finance onto my mortgage. My advice to anyone would be to save the cash if possible and get a run about which won't be the best in the street but you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that its your own.

having no credit history i applied for a Welcome Car Finance loan, got one. I then waited 6 days for car to be delivered found the bonnet would not open- made calls and was told to take it to ilford. Then was told to get it back, then was told someone would collect it. Now car has gone missing and noone knows where... i will cancel credit agreement and let them deal with it even if it means going to court. (read more)

Welcome Car Finance, wot a load of bull****..never ever buy a car from here! renault scenic 54 plate 20k on the clock, been working for 7months! sat outside for 2 months whilst waiting for repairs for dashboard as i refused to drive it due to no speedo or anything...illegal for a start! now it refuses to start, will not go or do naff all, cancelling direct debit payment and they can sort it out...i'll even go to court. Went to the Luton branch of Welcome Car Finance. At first we couldn't find it as the postcode they sent us was wrong. On arrival noticed that there was about 25 cars when I had been told on the phone there were 60. The showroom smelt horrible of cheap disinfectant and we were greeted by a scruffy salesman. The general issue is do not buy a car from Welcome Finance or the likes. You are better of saving your money for a couple of months and buying what your money can afford. ie you could easily buy a little run around for under 1000 gbp.
The main problem, is that people do not read a review before they visit their showrooms, they only visit reviews, once they have been stung !!!!

People who go to Welcome haven't got a choice really, so if you do need a car....... The choice of cars is good, my salesperson was friendly and very helpfull. i have the very same problem, welcome just stopped coming over to collect the money for the car, i have called them but the office is shut and out of buisness... i have written to them and nothing.... 2 years on and the car is still in my drive.. i have no idea what to do with it!!!
