Good Points: Can't think of any.

    Bad Points: Listed below.

General comments: I had a car previously with Welcome Car Finance and it was fine, but since I have got another one they have been unhelpful and to be honest I wouldn't reccomend them to anyone now they seem to get it wrong most of the time they are losing paperwork ie DD manadates, and then I have received letters saying they are charging me £10 and £25 which is very stressful, and there have been problems with debits from my account, which has caused me worry, I have had little communication from the company, and I am still waiting a reply from them. I will never recommend this Company to anyone, and all I can say to others is stay well clear of them.

I have to say that my experience with Welcome Car Finance is a good one. After getting declined at three other dealerships, and needing a good reliable car, (not another old banger) I decided to visit my local Welcome Car Finance showroom which was in Feltham. On first impressions there was nowhere to park and the customer area wasnt the best. However I was made to feel at ease by my adviser who explained the proccess and made me a cup of coffee. We went through the car selection, which in fairn ...

If you are straightforward person, Welcome Car Finance is a very good company to buy a car. I had a bad credit (young people make mistakes) anyways. I bought Ford Mondeo 05 with 25k mileage. perfect condition. NO problem with car whatsoever. My material situation got very good now on. So I decided to pay it within 24 months, instead of 48. that's why APR for credit isn't something that I was worry about. At the end I had to agree that someday I will pay a price for my mistakes in past that cous ...

O.K. O.K. you are paying more for your car but if your in a similar posistion to me (ie - poor credit). You have to accept that you'll pay more for your finance because of the fact that you are a high risk. However, as a former customer of YES CAR CREDIT! I have to say that welcome are much better. Some of there cars are brand new! something I wasn't expecting. The staff treat you like humans. I was given the oppertunity to test drive my car (actually had a go of 2) I really liked the idea that ...

Welcome Car Finance are the worst people I have ever conducted business with. They call you up or call at your door and charge you £25 for the privledge if your ONE day late in making any payment. When you try to speak to them over the phone you can't as they talk down to you continually and they have even threatened to take my car back if payment is not paid by a set day and time. I deeply regret ever using them and suggest to anyone needing credit ....look elsewhere.

My husband wanted to purchase a new car and was recommended to Welcome Car Finance as his credit rating is not the best. We went in on the Wednesday afternoon. My husband told them what car he was interested in and any other cars he may be interested in if they did not have the car he was after. All the cars we said we would like if they did not have original, the showroom did not have any anyway, so to me that was just time wasted. We then received a phone call asking us to go in on the Saturda ...

Could not afford the repayments that Welcome Car Finance asked for and therefore left but received a phone call 2 days later to say they could drop the price, so went back but problems started again. In the end I went back 5 times at 30 mile round trips and left empty handed after becoming pretty frustrated. Overall I would advise anyone to stay away from Welcome unless desperate. Car I was buying Rover 25 £4409 Less part-ex £1000 Finance Charges £1363 total payable was &po ...

I have taken some time to write this to enable it to be as helpful as possible, as I found fellow customers reviews. Ok, so despite reading the many bad reviews on here, I decided that desperate times call for desperate measures. I € m a recently qualified junior barrister (24y/o) and as a result am fortunate to have a good, stable and guaranteed income now. Due to excesses of University, generally being bad at managing my money when younger hence being overdrawn occasionally and paying off con ...

Firstly, my husband and I wanted to buy a Vauxhall Meriva, so I filled in an on line application form, I then received a phone called asking for some more details. They did not at any point ask what car I was looking for or what price range/monthly repayments I was looking for. I felt obliged into agreeing on a time and day when we would come and view some cars. I was then called into work the day I was meant to be visiting the show room. So I called them to say we could not attend and could we ...

Visiting Welcome Car Finance in Southampton was one of the more unhappy experiences I've had at trying to buy a car. The car we were shown had a value of about £6000 at some dealers, but they wanted selling it for £8200. With the (nearly) 20% APR over 4 years we were looking at £11500 for a '54 reg Corsa. Luckily we declined and visitied a Network Q dealer and got almost the same car on 3 year repayment for £6500 (car was £5500). Before visiting you must know t ...

If we had been given the chance to speak to the lady who helped us in the first place we would have been better off!!! The garage where we got the car from, well that's another story. When the car was taken from the forecourt it was filthy inside and out, 2 bald tyres on the front and one on back, battery problems, brakes badly corroded etc and a big hole in the exhaust at the back. We contacted the garage and the dealer didn't want to know. We would never ever buy another car from there.

I bought a golf 1.6 petrol with 6 gears on the 4th April 2008 with a £200 deposit £11000 £325.00 per month for 4 years. On driving away from Welcome Car Finance the gears were strange but I € ve just had a broken arm and my other golf was a diesel and 5 gears. So I just thought it was going to take a bit of getting used to. On the second day the exhaust system fault light came on the dash, I was told to take it to Nationwide the next day, took it and spent the afternoon ther ...

Last year our car was quickly becoming a death trap and having just moved house, we couldn't afford to get it fixed. So, being totally skint i phoned one of the car finance companies and after some questions they told me to come into their show room and i could drive away with my `new` car, a full tank of fuel, 2 weeks insurance, £250 cash back and £1000 trade in for my current car. My sat nav broke down half way to the showroom, i never wrote down the full address (after having ...

I found Welcome Car finance very unhelpful, I feel they did not listen to what I was saying, don't always return phone calls when they say they are going to. I would never recommend anybody to go to welcome car finance due to the problems that we have had.

i would probably buy a car from Welcome Car Finance again as my experience with them was good, i did pay over the odds for my particular car, i could have got it for £1000 cheaper if i brought it from else where, the original apr rate of 19.9% was wrong and they were quick to inform me of the mistake that had been made and asked me to go back and see them to do new paperwork, and was given a new rate of 11.9 % which i though was pretty good. and with this new rate it made it over a £ ...

We bought a car from Welcome in November 07, 2 weeks later it started going wrong, the engine will stop without warning during normal driving, the steering will lock to the left, the tyres are all odd speed ratings, 3 out of 4 too low for the car. After numerous calls and letters Welcome eventually agreed to pay for the car to be checked at Ford, only for us to get there and Ford refused to do it as Welcome had not sent payment! Since all this was before the first payment was due, we have not ...

Welcome car finance actually doesn't have a bad interest rate, if you bother to look, but the cars they sale are sold at 140%! now what have to remember is you are applying for car finance with them for a reason. your not in the prime market. Get in the zone. it is a big plc company so any issues will get resolved. All insurance products are optional. if you have bad credit and you need a good new car then welcome are your people, on the day if you are there to buy a car they will make a deal fo ...

I recently visited my local Welcome car finance show room after my own car broke down, thought I could get a good deal from them I was expecting a car around the 3-4K make and liked the £1000 guaranteed for my broken car. However. When I arrived at the show room I was eventually met by a girl who was there to help after a cup of tea which to be fair was a nice cup of tea and also the highlight of my welcome car finance visit, after filling in a very simple form and asked me how much I wa ...
