    The Sony MDR-XD100 Stereo headphones:

    I was looking for a pair of headphones that were:
    Sony brand
    Not too expensive
    Long cable.
    Covered the ears (i get bruised ears otherwise)

    I got all four in one, but I was disapointed with the sound quality. My expierience with Sony audio has always been fantastic, and I continue to believe that this brand is the best, but this particular product was below what I percieve as 'sony' standards.
    I can't recall how much they cost, but I would not pay more than 30 AUD for these. The construction is strong enough, the cable is ok even after being run over by the wheels on my chair all the time. The cable length is great, I can walk around and pick things up and sit back down without having to remove them. My ears just fit inside so I dont get bruised ear even after hours of game-play.
    The problem is base repoduction, it seems to distort very easily, and in general the 'clarity' of the audio is more muffled than I would have liked.
    I dont regret buying this product, but next time I'll try out some other models.
