We bought a Tempur mattress about 2 years ago. I researched it very carefully because I have a scoliosis with a spinal fusion. I had extremely high hopes for this product, and I am glad to say I have not been at all disappointed. I would go as far as to say that it has exceeded my expectations. The worst part about it is that I have to put up with sleeping on bad mattresses now when we go on holiday. But I know tha minute I come home my back pain will be allieviated by my amazing mattress. You can't put a price on that. But my husband would say that it is too hot and he's not convinced. But he doesn't have a bad back. I would honestly say it was the best thing I have bought for myself in a long long time.

Wish i never waited my money. I have never been so uncomfortable in bed in my life. The product in my opinion is rubbish.

We purchased the 25cm mattress with Tempur Bedsted last year... so far we haven't looked back... it is one of the best investments that we have made.

The only issue is, is that you will notice when you are not on it. My wife and I struggle sleeping on other beds.

We paid about £2500 for it - very heavy mattress - very comfortable and Tempur guarantee the mattress fro 15 years and the bedsted for 5 years.
    Great effort!

TEMPUR : I have had one of the early 'models' of this rip-off mattress, for some 6 years. It is hugely overpriced, will help some back sufferers (it did me at first) but with only light use will deteriorate much earlier than their flaky guarantee period ! I say flaky because if you try to claim compensation (mine was badly cracked and stopped offering the pressure relieving it boasts)you are only offerd an inspection and subsequent offer where you are required to cough up a still large amount ...

Having been a back sufferer for years and after having to go to A&E with a serious back spasm in April this year, I decided to invest in a Tempur Mattress. I initially bought the 15cm entry mattress and had to return as too hard. I upgraded to the 22cm HD Deluxe which is a lot more comfortable

In March 2007 Tempur changed the construction of their mattresses and say that they are no longer suitable for back care. The only Tempur mattress that they recommend for those with back problems is the 14cm ice blue version. We wish we had known this before purchasing the Tempur HD Delux two months ago. We wake up every morning with lower back and neck ache. I also experience numbness in my right leg from hip to toe, and I am only 42!After spending so much money we are at a loss what to do ...

My husband and I are in pain every morning. It simply was not worth the expense and discomfort.

This may explain why it is the newer customers complaining the most!

We have had a Tempur 20cms mattress for about 3 years. I sleep very well but find that I get very hot and uncomfortable at times. My wife finds that she cannot turn over easily or get out of bed easily as the mattress has too much "give" in it .

I bought a Tempur Mattress due to lower back pain. It was a revolation!!!! My back no longer clicks when I get up. I must admit it takes a while to get used to, but I find it far more comfortable than other mattresses. I think some people expect it to heal all illnesses, but it is a mattress. I don't know why people complain about how heavy they are as you don't need to move it about, it doesn't require turning??? Like Marmite, some people will love some will hate it.................

We have the 25cm Tempur Mattress super king version. Purchased Dec 2005 First one disintegrated and the 2nd one is going the same way. Is still within warranty really don't want another one. Really not worth £1440 would gladly go back to conventional sprung mattress.

Really good for about a year.
In the first year, the Tempur Mattress was really hot (sweaty hot) to sleep on.After two years, it had lost its memory, i.e. doesn't shape to your body and is causing a backache like our old mattress!
A total waste of my money to buy such an expensive mattress. I would have been better off buying a good quality, regular mattress that is a lot cheaper.

The Tempur mattress warmed up and stayed warm in the winter months but unfortunately did the same during the hotter summer months. My husband absolutely hated it and tried to get used to it but couldn't and ended up sleeping in the single spare bed. said it was like sleeping on a brick but because we paid so much for it I persisted with it but never really took to it. After 2 years of sleepless nights, we have just purchased a normal pocket sprung mattress,,,,,, bliss.

We were recommended the Tempur Mattress by a physio about 6 years ago and invested a lot of money in the bed and mattress. I have to say that after 2 major back operations I was hoping for much more from this product but have been disappointed.
Both I and my wife wake up each morning stiff and with back pain and wonder whether it was worth the investment. It is also very expensive for what it is and you pay a lot for the name.
I would look carefully at other alternatives such as a medium soft ...

We spend 1/3 of our lives in bed, how many people understand the importance of good support and posture. Many of us dont even worry about it until the day we wake up with aches and pains, sometimes by then the damage is already done.
Tempur Mattresses, offer the right support, the right comfort and also a good guarantee. Not only that, you can try before you buy, so you cant go wrong. It helped my friends and my wife, so i would recommend it to every-one.

A premium product but in this day and ...

    i fall asleep alot quicker.
I dont move around as much in bed.
I dont wake up with stiffness or aches and pains.

Its not the cheapest mattress you can buy, but for 15 years warranty, it's a worthwhile investment.

Its the type of product that because of the price, you might want to give it a 60 day trial, but for those that cant be bothered with trials, its worth the risk.

Having experienced back pain for many years, a friend recommended that i should try a TEMPUR MATTRESS. I tried it on the 60 night home trial to ensure it works for me! and it was the best decision i have made for years. I would advise readers that are unsure about the mattress to try it on a 60 day trial and that way you cant lose.

This product is not only for back pain suffers but also for people wanting a restful nights sleep.

Having hust bought a Deluxe Tempur we have had mixed results. My wife finds it wonderful, but although I can usually sleep on anything, the matress causes me severe pain in my buttocks and calf. Anyone considering a Tempur bed should have a trial before buying.

We are a family who have slept on a Tempur since they were first in the UK and we cannot sleep on anything else. My son who is 11 slept on one since 12 months. They are the Rolls Royce of the mattress world. When you have slept on one, you could never revert to any other type of mattress, without getting sacro-iliac pain, neck pain, knee pain. They allow us to be fully replenished, ready to face a new day, healthy, happy and full of zest. If anybody is thinking of investing in one, go for it, y ...

I hate our Tempur matress. Having previously suffered a very small amount of back and shoulder pain (occupational hazard - I sit at a PC all day), I now wake up stiff and sore every morning. Its definately the bed, because within half an hour of getting up my back is fine. I sleep really badly - too hot and I can't roll over. Unlike another contibutor, I love going away so I get to sleep on a sprung matress - bliss!. Big, expensive mistake. We now plan to dump it and go back to a sprung ...
