    There is a general absence of reviews of the JBL Control 5 loudspeaker, perhaps because this model is targeted at professional or commercial markets, so I wanted to share my experiences.

    My Control 5 speakers are used to play high quality FLAC files, in some cases exceeding CD audio quality, and are currently connected using QED Micro cable to a Rotel RA-02 amplifier.

    The sound quality, far exceeding the RRP, is exceptional and these speakers endear themselves to you immediately (o the extent that I am willing to forgive the naff but capable spring clips.)

    I have spent thousands of GBP on hifi hardware over the years. Believe me when I say that these are truly capable speakers!

    I have had my JBL Control 5 for the last 15 years with the control 5 sub woofer as well simply the best! It has a dynamic range,awesome clear sound not screechy

    I have the JBL Control 5 and used them for years. Sound is very natural and clean you can mix some great sounds from these speakers.
    using them for 5.1 is great (using a sub as well)
    there power is great for there size and they do go loud.
    the bass response is strong and is amazing how low they go for a 6 and half inch speaker.
    but given they are driven buy a good amp with at least 150 rms (MAX RATING 175 rms) they will play all day and night loud and clear.
