Good Points: easy to us
Bad Points: Very basic edit features.Very slow to make edits
General comments: The editing on the Samsung DVD-HR720 is very slow: no jump to TIME, or skip XX mins, just , and FWD, REV at speed.. Once START & END are marked, it seems to delete the segment from HD, rather than just marking it as deleted -all takes time. Worst feature: once a segment has been deleted, edit cursor goes back to start time, and you have to play/FWD all the way through to the next edit point. You can't just carry on from the EDIT point you just did.

Overall, the Samsung HR-720 hard drive recorder is an excellent recorder, and of very good quality. It is very user-friendly and it has a good size hard-drive. It only uses DVD (-) disks and not (+), and the in-built copy protection does not allow me to transfer some programmes recorded on my Sky+ box to the Samsung hard drive, which is very frustrating.
