Good Points: I have never had a breakdown on any parts.

Bad Points: The Whirlpool washer I own is rusting inside and ruining my cloths. This washer is 9 yrs. old and has probably been rusting for years but because I did not realize where these stains were coming from, Whirlpool says "it's too old".

General comments: Whirlpool has a problem with their machines rusting. I cannot believe that all of this enamel is flaked and falling into the machine. We are only a family of 3 and do not use the machine more than once a week. I paid $500 for it and now it will have to go into a landfill due to the rusting. There is nothing wrong with the mechanical parts of this machine and that makes Whirlpool NOT a GREEN Company! I will not buy any of their brands again.

I wrote to Whirlpool customer service about my Philips Whirlpool ADP 952 WHM which was less than 2 years old developing rust. They said it may be due to the fact it was in my garage (this is where most washers & dryers are kept in Florida!) and then said it was not covered by warranty. In other words--- too bad! When I spoke to customer service rep, she said no one ever complained about rust!

Agree with previous reviewer - both Whirlpool Washers and Dryers start to rust within a year. Whirlpool DOES NOT HONOR their 5 year rust warranty. An Amana set in the same location for TEN years did not have this problem. JUNK quality and broken promises for a premium price - AVOID WHIRLPOOL.

As Whirlpool washing machines rust and ruin clothes with rust stains we would never buy this product again. Whirlpool warranty will not stand behind their less than 5 yr. use product.

I don't know why the basket on our Philips Whirlpool ADP 952 WHM dishwasher broke, but I feel that is minor. I would buy another Whirlpool.

When I first bought this Philips Whirlpool I thought:"How impressive! So much equipement and it's a budget dish washer!". It does it's job, but I already had some problems: water pump, programing module, salt sensor, detergent dispenser, and now the rust. A very beautiful machine, it does the job but I can't rely on it!
