Good Points: Large 160Gb hard drive
    512 RAM
    Nice looking speakers
    Flat screen monitor (not LCD)
    AGP 4X/8X slot
    Firewire
    CD covers
    DVD reader
    CHEAP

    Bad Points: Integrated graphics
    250W power
Have to push on CD drive to close

General comments: Well, the Compaq SR1150NX has its up and downs, but I am not complaining for the price of $350. The integrated 64Mb graphics are terrible, but you can upgrade them using the AGP slot. The Compaq has CD Drive covers, but unfortunately you have to actually push on the drive to make it close, and I think it might ruin the gearing. I did have a problem, and I still don't know what, but the computer crashed. I fixed it, and both DVD drives that I put in (one TDK and a non-brand name DVD/RW) will now only read DVD and not audio CD's or CD ROM's.

If anyone has had this problem, please can you leave me a comment? Thanks.

Well, my verdict is BUY IT!!!

The heatsink was of a poor grade and mounted to the processor with a heatpad. The fan was improperly mounted, with four screws forced between the fins and there was only one intake and one outake, which were both small. The motherboard is a via, with a via chipset it does look great, but i doubt the quality of it. The bu ...
