Car was picked up promptly by casually dressed man (no suit) from pink meet and greet. Pickup was relatively painless and the car was cleaned as agreed and paid for.

3 weeks later - I get a letter from Tesco's in Gatwick saying that my car had been parked in their car park for over 4 hours!

Not exactly "secure" parking and not what I would expect.

I will not use this company again.

I have just noticed on the Pink Meet and Greet website that they are no longer trading, I am glad I came across these other reviews, otherwise I would have turned up at the airport to have no parking arranged. Now I just need to see if I can get any money back from either them or my credit card company?

Let me know how. I have also booked them for April 2007 and wouldn't have known how bad they were if it weren't for Watchdog. I am going to write to their registered office.

My credit card company are still investigating. Your card company should be able to start the process as the company are no longer trading. It is obvious they are not going to provide the service, the contact phone number to enable you to use the service is no longer connected!

This is a terrible car park. They took our car out, which is a new BMW, damaged the vehicle and the expenses were worth £2500. Car was awfully dirty when returned. It is now almost a year and still haven't paid us. Could someone please help.

I also booked in January 2007, having been tempted by the low prices and thinking they were connected to Pink Elephant Parking, whom I've used before. I then read these reviews and an article in the Mail on Sunday saying that they are being investigated for dubious practises. I cancelled immediately by email and also called the phone number on the email, it was non-existent. After a week when they hadn't replied I sent another email. They have taken the £40 from my credit card, so I called my credit card company and they managed to put me through on the phone where a woman apologised and said someone would call me back the following day. Nobody called, so I called the number she had given me, it was a wrong number. I've registered my complaint with trading standards and my next step is to take it to the small claims court. Don't use this company!

“I made my booking with Pink Meet and Greet and...”

I made my booking with Pink Meet and Greet and received my email confirmation. On the day of travel we set out to Gatwick and as requested by the company I rang the 24 hour mobile number 15 minutes before arrival at the airport. The so called 24 hour mobile rang and rang, then was engaged, then rang and rang, then was engaged this carried on for 45 minutes until the person was obviously fed up of me calling and turned the mobile off.

I had by this point arrived at the meet point with no sign of a Pink Meet and Greet representative. I asked another company if they knew of Pink Meet and Greet to which the person smiled and said not another one! He proceeded to tell me I was not the first to be waiting hours for the so called Pink Meet and Greet.

Not wanting to miss my flight I drove to the Long Stay and went on holiday. I am extremely annoyed that a company are able to get away with this. I shall, in future, be more careful and read the review sites, which if I had read before booking I would not have booked. I have tried contacting Pink Meet and Greet, they do not reply to emails and the land-line number has a message saying the mail box is full.
My advice is stay clear of Pink Meet and Greet at Gatwick. They have nothing to do with Purple Parking at Heathrow who are excellent. Do not always go for the cheapest deal, there is a reason why they are so cheap. In this case they take your money and don't turn up. It is a complete scam.

I want to prevent other people losing there money in this way.

It cost me over £200 because they lost my car key. They promised a refund but it hasn't materialised. A total disgrace. Don't use them if you value your car and wallet.

I used Pink last year without a hitch, when I went to book this year I saw this website under the Pink one on Google, obviously I took a look and was rather concerned. Eventually I decided to go with my gut feeling and book through Pink, again I was not disappointed. The driver arrived exactly at the agreed time and delivered the car back exactly 15 minutes after I called. Not sure if I've just been lucky but twice without a problem, I will use them again.

Ask them to show you where the car is parked. Mine was on an industrial estate slip road along with many, many others. They called this the so-called, holding area near to the airport!

Me too, stung by Pink Meet and Greet.
Cancelled my booking after a friend told me about the Sky news report.
This was in Oct 06, I am still awaiting my refund.
Despite 5 phone calls and about 5 emails I have received absolutely nothing.
£40 was far too good to be true, caveat emptor!

What a surprise, the Pink Meet and Greet phone line wasn't working when I called, having left the M25. I had to park in the long stay car park. Eventually got through to a customer service representative who advised me to ring head office. I have emailed for a refund but having read other comments I hold out little hope.
Incidentally, I spoke to a chap from BAA at the arrivals desk in Gatwick who said that he had encountered lots of people who'd had problems with Pink. Looks like you get what you pay for.

What a good meet and great, it was easy when I got to the airport. No hassle of buses, the pink and meet driver was very polite and helpful. We could not have asked for more.
When I returend, I phoned up and the car was there waiting for me.
I will be using them again and I will be telling my family and friends about pink too.

They park cars on industrial estates and say they are holding areas! Mine was parked opposite a commercial recycling plant, along with many others. How do I know? They lost my car key and I had to get the car broken into so they had to take me to it, even though they tried everything to make sure I didn't attend. I had to threaten to report the car as stolen to the police before they consented.

Rang when leaving M25 as instructed. Phone was turned off. Had to park elsewhere and repay. 8 weeks on and despite phoning on a daily basis and several promises of a refund, nothing has been done. Would not recommend to anyone.

Taken to small claims court, got judgement but company no longer at their registered address, the bailiffs went there and were told company left with no forwarding address. Reported them to companies house. Beware!
