This is a Crooks company. They have a lot of hidden charges they don't telling about which making good bargain the worst one.
Everything went smooth and well until i came back from holiday and check the account. They charged me 80% more than on the invoice!
After several emails I got explanation than out of the final invoice they added VAT, separate insurrance charge and driving licence checking fee(?!!!)
No recompensation at all. I feel upset and deceived,
    strongly disrecommeding this company.

Hire company turned out to be Orlando Car Hire who did`nt have a desk at the airport. Met by a rep who was late, he transfered us to out of town depot where we we told they did`nt have a car for us but one would be delivered to our hotel that afternoon. After waiting in all day rang the company the next morning. A man arrived in a new Clio and took me to another local office. They flatley refused to compensate me for one lost day of hire and told me to take it or leave it. Because I was strand ...

We booked a 9 seater and a 5 seater for a weeks vacation for the extended family. We collected the cars in Zadar airport from a company called Uniline - a sub-contractor of Economy Car Rental. Both cars (a Volkswagen Caravelle and Golf) were in spotless condition, and were relatively new. The Caravelle was actually larger than we were expecting. The car hire company's representatives were friendly, professional, and helpful. The fact that we did not receive confirmation from Economy Car Rentals ...

An awful experience! Poor service, attitude of the local representative - not describable, vehicle dirty, empty tank and almost flat tyre! No one cares about the customer and his safety!
    I would give 0 star!
Stay away from this "cowboy company"!

We arrived in Brisbane on the 4th Oct 2009 and went to pick up our pre- booked rental only to find it had been in an accident and was not available. You might want to include Not Available in your drop down menu for condition of vehicle and Choice of vehicle. A suitable replacement ( large vehicle ) was not available. I was assured my credit charges would be refunded. On arrival back home on the 18th of Oct the charges on my credit card were still outstanding. Several e-mails required to get the ...

Warning EconomyCarRentals act as an intermediate company between you and the real rental company- therefore they are about as much use as a chocolate teapot.
So anyway, our story. We rented a car through EconomyCarRentals for a trip to Lithuania. The rental company was listed as DollarThrifty- but presumably by from franchise deal, turned out to be some random Lithuanian outfit. They didn't have an stand at the airport- instead we were met by a random guy wandering round with a clipboard. We ...

DANGEROUS AND UNHELPFUL - DONT EVEN GO THERE!ONLY ONE STAR BECAUSE I CANT GIVE A ZERO!

After eventually finding where we needed to collect the car (Auriga Crown at Faro Airport - agents for Economy Car Rentals)they tried to give us a Skoda Fabia that was badly scratched. Their explanation for the scratches was that it was a rental car (we have never been given a car in such a condition before) They also marked every single scratch on the car on their paperwork - and made clear that we would b ...

My wife and i hired a car to be collected at Faro, it seems unbeknown to us we needed to find the local agent. Not easy, but after half an hour trudging around the terminal we were directed to the kiosk.
Our 206 car was immediately upgraded to a Megan at no extra charge. Two drivers no extra.
It was a tad scruffy dirty windows, but no to worry. The staff were friendly and efficient but almost insisted that we take out extra insurance cover of 9 Euros perday. Having been scammed by a very large ...

Don't use this hire company unless you are happy to have an average car & pay for a whole tank of petrol in advance! You will not get any money back even if you don't use all the petrol. They are daylight robbers and I really wish I had never hired a car from them as in the current climate one cannot afford to pay for petrol they do not need or want!

We booked this car well in advice, to be collected from the airport, they should have been waiting for us with the vehicle. They were not - tried ringing numbers we had for local agent, auto union, but not answer, so had to get coach transfer in order to avoid hefty taxi charge. They never contacted the mobile number we had provided them with. Just returned back, and trying to get the money back for the deposit. Rang a lady in london, struggled to undertand her, to be told "why didn't you ring ...

We booked a full size car. Went to pick it up - got a small size car, being told we had not paid enough to have a full size car. We had no choice but to accept the car. I have complained to economy car rentals and all I get is a response that doesn't make sense as the person I deal with only speaks broken English. They have taken no notice of the fact that we paid for a full size car for 4 adults and ended up with a Ford Fiesta. Very disappointed in the service we have received and the fact ...

The rental was handled well by the company and once they confirmed the quote they used Alamo at the airport. Alamo were rapid and polite in processing our application but they accidentally charged us for the "fuel option" which was supposed to be free. We noticed this when we got home and complained to economycarrentals and didn't expect to be successful, but they were brilliant and got us our refund in full.

Economy Car Rentals are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I agree with other reviewers that the rudeness of their office staff can be truly shocking. When we got to Antalya the local car partner , Lifecar , was not there to meet us, could not be contacted by phone and turned up over an hour late by which time we had paid for an alternative car at top price. Since then I have spent the last two months trying to get a refund of my deposit. I am just told that they are not getting any respo ...

In dep level during I took off our luggage they inspected the car and that was it. Thank you Sir...If you want coverage for tyres, antenna, mirr ...

I have never written a review before, but the service from Economycarrentals was so shocking I had to write in. We rented a car a week in advance of our holiday in Sardinia, and the confirmation still had not come through on the day of our flight. We phoned numerous times to be told they would call back, which they never did. We were forced to book last minute with Hertz at a much higher price. When I asked to speak to Economy car rentals manager I was told he/she wouldnt speak to me - I hav ...

Prices of Economycarrentals are almost as low as service level.
Do not be fooled by the words : "Full insurance with no access"
if small damages appear, customer will have to pay themselves !!
    READ TERMS OF CONTRACT CLOSELY!
Almost every small damage = not insured !!
Even though economy carrentals claims to pay you back, they simply do not !

    This explains their sharp prices.
Better to rent straight from rental company, maybe a little more expensive,
but al least you're really "Fully insured" ...

After looking through the reviews I was unsure as to whether I should use Economycarrentals.com. They were the cheapest deal and I booked our car, to be collected from Corfu Airport at 4.30 in the morning. On arrival the Hertz rep was waiting at the desk with the keys, despite the fact the plane arrived earlier than expected. She checked my voucher, driving licence and passport and we were on our way about 10 mins later. The rep was also there waiting for us when we dropped the car off at 2 in t ...
