“Terrible Customer Service”

Had Sky Broadband for less than a month before it cut out. Although they sent an engineer to fix it within 72 hours, I had to spend 40 minutes on hold to their customer services before they answered to tell them about the issue. They then said they would take money off my next bill for the time I was without internet if I let them know when it was back up. I contacted SKY last month as we've been having issues for the last 4 weeks with our internet dropping out / going really slow (down to 0.2 megabytes so effectively no internet) - rang SKY who arranged at BT Open Reach engineer to firstly come out and check the line (fair enough) - after 2 separate visits and both BT engineers saying the same thing, that the fault was with the router and not the line (they were great by the way, very professional and knew their stuff) I thought that SKY would… Read Full Review

“It's just awful.”

There is nothing good about sky internet, it's awfully slow (E.g.It does not even load the internet and when it does it's so slow that there is no point in going on it, it takes about 5 minutes to load a page. worst internet connection ever. Broadband connection drop 20-30 times per day. Customer care hot line only work day time. You cant complain about service.
never recommend for any one

“Sky slowwwwww broadband ”

We used to use virgin and apart from vandalism to the box down the rd,it worked brilliantly.We switched to sky and its slow if two or more people are online in the same house forget it,soon as we can we'll be going back to virgin. I transferred from talk talk to sky 10 months ago to get complete package e.g TV plus broadband. I noticed that the speed seemed to be very slow but was told it would take a couple of weeks to adjust. Two months later still ridiculously slow so contacted them. Over the summer period 2 engineers came out separately to test the line and continued to do so. Very happy with my overall experience so far with sky I have been a Sky customer for almost 12 months and would recommend it to anyone!! I have the family package and fibre and talk and have had hardly any issues. If I have had any issues I simply dial 150 from the landline and will speak to someone who can help. We went back to Sky for the TV but unfortunately this time round our broadband service is so bad I am unable to work from home as I cant work in our office as we cant get the broadband to reach. I have been a loyal SkyCable TV subscriber for years and decided to avail of SkyBroadband 3 MBps plan since it will add only 1k pesos more monthly. I live in Makati. I already have a PLDT and Globe broadband service. I was thinking Sky would run faster than either one. BOY WAS I WRONG. I foolishly went back to Sky after a few years break. The broadband service is non existent! Cannot work from home anymore, my son cannot stream movies! “Never had an issue”

I have had sky broadband now 5 years and never had any issues with them. When I have rang them to see if I am able to get more speed they have increased it if it can be. Which I thought was a cheeky on there part not doing it automatically. I have always found there customer service department good to deal with. I rang them last month over the broadband dropping out they were really helpful. Found the route cause of the problem which was the micro filter going down. I switched from virgin to sky ended up paying something approaching £200 in the first month and the deals all end at different times very confusing. Customer services while polite were not very clear and the broadband is very slow in comparison with virgin for the money. “Looking for broadband....avoid Sky”

Having been a Sky customer for some 12 months, my experience has fallen well below that for which I am paying. I signed up for fibre optic broadband from Sky and they have been charging me a not inconsiderable amount for the privilege of enhanced speed! However, so sick was I of this 'fast speed' I did various broadband speed checks. It found that although 80mb was available in my area, Sky could only summon up 2-3mb to allocate to me. Hello, Customer Services should have been 2 and not 3 stars. My mistake. The only reason for the 2 stars is that we had contact by phone with customer services (not directly related to broadband) and they were very helpful. However, when I tried to query about the 3.16 speed I was receiving while paying for fibre optic, I found the sky representative to be very unhelpful. Because I was unable to provide an answer to one question, he refused point blank to assist me any further.

I can only assume that Sky do not like complaints about their broadband speeds, or lack of; very unprofessional. I stand by my comment, though. There is a big difference between download speeds of 3.16mb (and I have recorded lower) against the advertised, minimum speed I was advised of before I signed up of at least 23mb and upwards.

Sky have been a nightmare this past year. I will NEVER use again. Home broadband and phone. Nearly a whole year frequently without any broadband. Waited weeks for a broadband engineer, but only ever cause telephone engineers, who never rectified the fault. No reliability of service. Sky customer service absolutely dreadful, very rude, with attitude. When I switched supplier, they put a stop on any other provider taking it over until the day after the service ended.
