“Problems and bad customer service ”

Ever since I signed up to sky broadband (3 months ago) I have been given nothing but poor customer service and NO broadband and landline!! I have been continuously mislead, lied and deceived by their customer service team and was refused to speak to the manager on several occasions, saying 'they were busy'!!! I pay £20.40 per month for unlimited sky broadband and landline and for the period of time I haven't had the service, I was told I still have to pay the monthly rate!!… Read Full Review

“Do NOT use this broadband”

It's the absolute worst, THE ABSOLUTE GOD DAMN WORST broadband i have ever used! It's inconsistent and keeps disconnecting every 5 minutes or so. 4 years using it, and it has been hell. I would recommend BTinfinity, which is actually good, unlike this garbage!! DO NOT BUY. Terrible value for money, terrible quality and they honestly just care about the money. HAVE HAD SKY BROADBAND SINCE MAY I GET 32MBS DOWNLOAD AND 9.0 UPLOAD. “Top Notch Service”

After O2 sold out to Sky i was offered 12 months free broadband to switch to Sky which i did,on the switch over day i lost service for about 5 mins and since then i have had a totally reliable service with absolutely no limits or traffic shaping,as i am on the end of a 4+ KM line from the exchange i am used to getting around 2.5mbps since i first got broadband years ago with Tiscali,but 10 days ago the Sky DLM kicked in and i now have 3.1mbps and my upload has increased from 700kbs to 2.6mbps… Read Full Review

“Shocking company ”

I strongly advise people to stay away from this incompetent and extremely rude company. Although Sky's offers seem good their customer service is shocking. They never fully answer the questions that you ask them and if you challenge them on this they will turn round and threaten to take you to the Police. All the departments are the same. “Awful Customer Service - Do yourself a favour and keep...”

Sky broadband is quite cheap and the connection quality is reasonable when it works but when it goes wrong you are in a world of trouble. I have found their staff to be rude and unhelpful on more than one occassion. The last time I phoned with a ping of 700ms (causing pages to timeout), they insisted there was nothing wrong even though I tested on an iPad, PC and Phone! I had previously been with Sky broadband but moved to O2 as soon as the opportunity arose. I was disheartened to learn O2 broadband had been sold to Sky. Our internet connectivity instantly declined. Just to be clear, we are a small household of two individuals, one of whom often works away. We are not heavy users by any description - certainly no online gaming and so on. “Stay away..total outages many times of the day”

stay away...they do not even have a proper broadband..over the past few months the broadband been getting slower and slower..and now total outages several times a day. A nightmare if you are doing an online course, bidding on ebay or using skype..even opening a page could take ages. First of all, I'm a Network Engineer. I've had 3 ISPs in the last 12 years. Pipex, Be, and SKY Pipex were great. Until they got bought out. Be were brilliant, right up until I left looking for a cheaper deal Sky? “Worst customer service of any company I've come across”

I've been a Sky+ HD, telephone and broadband customer for the best part of 3 years and during that time had very little issues with the (non-customer support) service received in return for my £60 pcm. The broadband was always fast and reliable, the phone line was always active and the HD TV quality was great. “Sky broadband...”

I play a lot of Xbox live and never have I had such terrible connection since joining sky. I get disconnected atleast three times a day. Even my apps like Netflix are starting to slow down. I have been playing online for about six years now and never had any problems with it until I used sky! Every gamer I chat with have told me that sky has the worst reputation for Internet and now I can totally agree!!! “Nothing but poor connection.”

Purely horrendous, I can't even have another tab open in my explorer if I am watching a video on YouTube or any other video site as it stops the stream and makes it pause which is seriously frustrating. If I'm connected on my phone also it affects the connection to the computer massively. Worst decision I've ever made switching to Sky. Yes it may be cheaper but the connection from BT was much more powerful than this. Sort your connection out guys, it's a joke… Read Full Review

I was an o2 customer of many years, moving house in January 2014, and agreed to take Sky at the new address as they have taken over o2. It has been trouble from my first call. I have six A4 sheets of notes detailing calls and issues. Records of calls seem to disappear into thin air, staff don't do what they've promised, don't call back when they've said they will. I have read this review on sky broadband as well as others. Thank goodness I did because I was in the process of joining sky broadband & talk. Now, thanks to these reviews I am staying put with virgin broadband & bt landline. Virgin & bt might be more expensive but you only get what you pay for.

I left Post Office Homefone as they were a complete disaster leaving me with no broaband for three months. I joined sky at a fixed rate for one year. After the first month they increased my payment and again after the second month not by a lot but thats not the point I joined at a FIXED RATE.
