Good Points: Good thing about Sky Broadband is it keeps you online for a good 4 hours at a time.
Bad Points: Bad points is it disconnects every day in my experience.
General comments: Worst broadband provider I have ever had by far! It is completely premature to gain a bit of cash without the service therefore I do not recommend Sky Broadband.

It is really sad that there is no cheap and reliable internet provider in UK as far as I am concerned. Continuous loss of connectivity, slow, unreliable in my experience. Do not recommend Sky broadband.

Sky TV is great but the exchange cannot handle the volume of customers they have taken on as far as I am concerned - cheap but not very cheerful.
I do not recommend Sky Broadband.

I signed up to Sky Broadband Max two months ago, and so far it has been excellent! I have had great speeds despite living a distance from the exchange, and I haven't had to reboot once, and my connection speed is consistent even at peak times. Switching from AOL was easy; it only took around a week and a half, and Sky kept me updated about the entire process. Overall, I recommend Sky Broadband to anyone!

I have to reboot the wireless router about every hour in my experience. Download speeds are very poor despite paying for the top speed and I am right by the exchange. Apparently you don't get unlimited downloads as they monitor your usage. We have three computers connected to the network. If one person is downloading the second computer almost grinds to a halt.
You have to use the router they supply and can't use your own. This router is renowned for slowness in my opinion.
The so called techn ...

Excellent swap over from AOL. Just get your MAC code from your existing supplier, give this to Sky and 10 days later your on. Confirmation of your connection date is by SMS to your mobile phone and home phone.
If you don't know how to use computers or setup routers get someone to help! Don't mess your PC or router up and then expect Sky technical help to get you out of trouble!

Although the price is good, our service has been inconsistent throughout the 18 months that I and members of my family have been using the service as far as I am concerned. Everyone I now who uses the service has had downtime, occasionally lasting for several days whilst Sky and BT point the finger at each other in my opinion. We finally stopped using Sky's service this week after we were told by BT that Sky had installed a faulty piece of equipment at our local exchange and, after taking it out ...

Connection speed its so slow in my opinion and experience. Dont try and play xbox live on it, Cant handle it even though the call centre opperator as far as I am concerned said it would with ease. Customer service were unhelpful, when we signed up for it they said it will be £5pm which we were happy with but then the dd came out and was £17 pm and they did not tell us this. We complained and asked for the call we made to be sent to us to prove we were never told that we would have ...

Having had dial up I decided to opt out of my BT account and choose sky mid range package, since I already had sky Tv I was offered it for a very reasonable five pounds per month. I received notification of my connection from sky indicating my connection date. It was not quite as quick as they had stated but in real terms this was only a few days out and I put it down to increased applications. The initial set up should have been very easy however I had overlooked the connection at the rear of m ...

After much diliberation I finally decided to scrap Pipex and try Sky. I have to admit I was a little sceptical after reading some reviews but all ISPs get a bad write up at some stage. What can I say, Sky has been fabulous. no dropouts, no slow connections and excellent customer support. I am operating now at almost twice the speed of my Pipex service and not one junk email compared to nearly 70 per day with previous. I would recommednd this service to anyone. Well done Sky, internet for a ...

I have been with Sky broadband for roughly 12 months and it is 12 months too long. Basically been paying for a service that has not been provided in my opinion and experience. Connection is difficult for me, spent hours on the phone only to be told the same thing over again. Sky basically said it was not their fault as far as I am concerned and were not helpful in fact, very unhelpful customer service team (leave you on hold for 5 minutes at a time, several times throughout the conversation in m ...

I am so glad I went with Sky Broadband, I was kept informed every step of the way. I received either letters or land line texts every couple of days to inform me of the progress. I was very impressed.
It was all so easy to set up with very clear step by step instructions. I was connected up before my expected date. Just Brilliant.

I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews for the SKY broadband package, but after spending 18 months with Talk Talk broadband and the telephone package i felt things can only get better.
Well SKY for me has been great. I have the 16meg max package and i get 14meg on a regular basis N.B (I am only a short distance away from the BT exchange).
I use the internet a lot and I currently use 2 Logik internet radios,1 sling box ,4PC's, and 1 XBOX 360 whicha re all connected to it and ...

Easy to arrange, delivery confirmed by letter, the day after I arranged it. Kit arrive on the correct day. Letter received to say the transfer date from BT to SKY Broadband. Transfer completed on the correct day. Kit was really easy to install and I was on line within 10 mins of opening the broadband box. I received letters at intrim stages to tell me the progress of the order too. Speed is good and have had no bad experience at all, am very happy.

I set this up for a neighbour (but did warn him against it, as I knew other friends who had problems). It took us 2 hours of config, service desk calls and hacking into the router to get a working connection. Setting up email with ISP's is usually just a matter of adding the POP3 and SMTP domains into IE7. Oh, that would be too easy with SKY. With sky, you have to LOGIN to the sky website and then create an email user and then spend 90 minutes trying to create an online account that works with t ...
