“HIGH PRICE BUT NICE!”

★★★★★

written by messy-jessy on 21/11/2013

These don't come cheap girls but they do give incredible results, and they are very sleek and stylish with real ceramic plated, not coated metal like GHD etc. I use the H.A. hair oil too as it works like magic on even the frizziest of hair, but although it is expensive, a little goes a long well. The straighteners work really well at lower heat on fine hair such as mine but they work well on thicker hair too such as my friend Cleo, who is mixed race and has really thick kinky waves of hair. I'd give them 10 out of 10 for results and 7 out of 10 on pricing, because they are very pricey at £170 and are only being sold through top end salons such as Kell Skott which strikes me as snobbish.

“A girls best friend!”

★★★★★

Good bits- Very stylish, easy to use and they don't damage your hair. The hair oil is amazing and leaves your hair sleek, smooth and shiny all day long. Bad bits- Hard to find and very expensive at £180+, and the HA hair care products don't come cheap either! I bought these from a salon at Liverpool One and simply because my hairdresser had a pair but never thought I could get the same results. They glide through the hair really easily and don't snag or pull and the oil (you only use a tiny amount) is fantastic, salon results every time and really leaves my hair feeling healthy and nourished. I think they will have to do a special offer under £150 if they want to break into the UK in a big way as GHD has such dominance. 10/10 for results, 10/10 for looks and style, 8 out of 10 on value for money. Overall i'd say 9 out of 10, just wish they were a little cheaper as I'd like to buy my sister a pair for her birthday but will have to get her a liverpool one voucher towards them instead. x

“8 OUT OF TEN CAT'S PREFER THEM!”

★★★★★

written by willowsgal on 06/09/2011

Had to give the S1 5 stars all the way! They look gorgeous and most importantly they DON'T damage my hair. My hair is so fine and frizzy I could hardly ever straighten as it wasn't worth the damage I was doing. I think the reason they work so well, is because they are 100% ceramic, not ceramic coated copper plates like GHD, so can straighten really well at lower heat settings, although you can send them super hot if you have very thick hair. I was tipped off about these by my sister in-law and bought an imported set from America via Ebay. They came with some free HA haircare stuff (which works miracles) but they were still pricey at over £160 and i got hit for an extra £30 import tax, but i can straighten everyday and I no longer look like Tina Turner come lunchtime. Incredible product but very pricey. Downside, work best with their own brand hair sprays and oils, but hard to find in the UK. If you are looking for them, try All About Hair in Knightbridge but be prepared to pay £40 for the large 200ml hair oil, you only need a small amount and it's not greasy at all. Great for those with brittle hair.

If you are reading this and are wondering if they are as good as GHD then let me tell you straight- SAL ADAMS HA HAIR IRONS ARE 10 TIMES BETTER! Better results, better looking, better value for money and best of all they are so exclusive you'll be one of the select few, instead of one of the crowd that have ghd's. Bought mine from ebay a few weeks ago and have been really impressed at the fantastic value for money.

I work long haul flights as cabin crew and these keep my hair smooth and shiny from London to Bangkok. I bought mine in the U.S. and they were a little cheaper than the UK price but I needed to buy a voltage changer so it figured out around the same price in the end, but you couldn't find them here last year.

These are a luxury item, but you'll never regret buying them and you wont find anything else like them or that works so well. 5 stars all the way xxxx

OMG OMG OMG Sal Adams are the best. They are just sooo lush. Bought mine from Ultimate Hair in Notting Hill and I guess everyone will find out about them soon enough.

They glide across my hair much better than my old ghd's with no snagging or breakage and they work twice as fast which saves me time in the mornings. 10 out of 10 for performance. ohh and the lead is super long which is handy for roaming around my bedroom.

If I had a complaint, I guess it would be the price. I know they are aiming them at the top end of the market, but £150 is a little too much. I only bought mine because I got a free voucher for £50 worth of their hair beauty products.

Start dropping hints now girls in time for Christmas xxx

Like GHD these are pricey at around £130 to £150 but unlike GHD, these are worth the high price. Gorgeous to look at, easy to use and LONG lasting professional results.

You don't have to use full heat to get great results and their hair oil is like nothing else you'll have used and performs miracles, but again it is pricey at nearly 20 quid a bottle!

HA's are sheer indulgence but the results will speak for themselves!

“11 out of 10!!!! Nothing else comes close to HA's....”

★★★★★

written by on 16/08/2009

11 out of 10!!!! Nothing else comes close to HA's. Apparently Sal Adams is known as the Hair Ambassador in America, hence the HA name! I only mention this as I'd never heard of HA's here in the UK, until seeing a friend's which she'd brought back from New York for 350 dollars (about £190 uk Pounds). I nearly died with envy after using my friends and just had to get myself a pair. Catching a flight to New York seemed a bit extreme so I searched the net and found the best deal on Ebay. I got a new pair for £99 with free hair oils, sprays and conditioners etc, ohh and a gorgeous matching black glass heat plate mat which even my friend didn't have....she was so jealous.

Besides being the best looking hair straighteners I have ever seen, they are also the best performer too, and thats the main reason I bought them. I have naturally big curly hair, which looked great in the 1980's, but I have always had problems taming it. I've had GHD's and lots of others too and although GHD's do work at first, give it a couple of hours and my hair looks like I've been in a cat fight! My HA's last all night....ohh if only they made men! But What I think really makes the difference is their hair oils and the fact I can set the exact temperature to suit my hair type, as I've damaged my hair in the past with GHD's by using too much heat.

I've had mine since Christmas and wouldn't use anything else on my hair, they've really changed the way I look and given me loads of confidence for work and nights out.

Drawbacks??? You must turn them off after using them as they dont have auto shut off and you could burn them out if left overnight. Hard to find hair care products can be a bit expensive but do last a long time and work brilliantly.

Positives??? Pure ceramic plates give long lasting straightness, adjustable temperature means you can straighten without burning your hair and their super-stylish looks mean your friends will all want them.
hope this has helped.

I have a lot of fine blonde hair which goes frizzy when there is a hint of moisture, with these straighteners my hair stays straight. I have used many brands of hair straighteners which all died a death when they were just over a year old, I have found HA to be the best (even better than GHD). In fact I can't live without them. I would definitely recommend these if you have the extra cash to splash. Mine are now over two years old and going strong. I did get a deal on mine at £135, recently I wanted to get them for a present for someone and I can now not find them for less than £170.

Ha hair straighteners are not worth the money you will spend on them. I have got T3's and GHD's, and the performance of the Ha hair iron is nowhere near the other. My hair frizzes up all the time I go out. Plus, the Ha after sales team are not very helpful, and they will not refund my money.

“I have very thick, pretty dry hair, so I am quite...”

★★★★★

written by elle21 on 20/11/2006

I have very thick, pretty dry hair, so I am quite precious about what I will and won't use on my hair.

Having previously been devoted to GHD's, I found if I wanted to keep my hair straight, I would have to go over it every day, and after a few months strands of hair were snapping off, despite using quality heat protecting products.

My friend tipped me off about the Ha Hair Irons. I ordered them slightly nervously due to the price tag. When they arrived I ran them over a strand of hair I had straightened that morning, and I couldn't actually believe the difference it made! The strand was actually shinier and softer from one quick stroke.

With my GHD's, it would take about 45 minutes to do my whole head. These take 20. And I don't have to re-do it every day.

I asked my hairdresser what condition my hair was in last time I went, and she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, and she was surprised to hear I had been straightening my hair for the last month. That was the final test. I still think they cost a lot of money, but I do genuinely believe they are worth it if you have hair that damages easily, or if you straighten your hair a lot (and if not, I still think GHD's are fine).

Hi, does anyone know where I can find an address in UK for this company? I was given a gift of these straighteners but did not use them for a while. I used them for the first time a few days ago but they did not get to a constant temperature and flickered the numbers up and down. They then crackled a little and went off completely. As they had not been used at all I wanted to contact them to seek advice.

Thanks for answering this question.
