Good Points: Very good camera and cool, simple interface.
Bad Points: Short battery life and the sticking out lens cover. On its first week, my phone bricked and only flashed red light on the infra-red port. I brought it to service and it was fixed in half an hour. The service rep who fixed my phone said that it was in fact a bug in the old frimwares of k800is, which corrupts the EPROM (sort of like the BIOS in computers) after sometime, and the fix simply is to update the firmware. Even my contacts, games and apps remained intact after the fix. The video also is not so good, but I am not so much into taking videos.
General comments: I have had the Sony Ericsson K800i phone for over a year now, alongside two other fancy smart phones. But I still prefer using my K800i more than either of the two. One of my other phones is with 5MP camera, but side by side comparison of prints and files on my computer still leans on sharpness towards the k800i. I have used Nokias for sometime and K800i is my first SE. I would say I have not been disappointed and even am extremely satisfied. I don't think I need anything more to look for an upgrade in the next several months, even with SE coming up with a new 8MP Cybershot phone.

I have a 4gig memory card for my Sony Ericsson K800i, and that is my only down point, it has over 500 pics and 1000 songs and it is now starting to get slightly slow when starting up. The predictive text is amazing and is not complicated like other brands. i would highly recommend it to anyone. I use the the whole time, and because of the flight mode i can listen to music while flying like any other mp3 player

Had the Sony Ericsson K800i phone for 8 months now and im thrilled to bits with it.
Great camera phone, takes brilliant pics and easy to download to your computer. Iv added a 512MB memory card and is great for storing MP3's and pics. Iv had loads of phones and i text a very lot, over a thousand a month and the phones i had before packed in. But this phone is still going strong and still looks brand new. Highly recommended.

Also given me 2 months line rental credit , and extra credit for all the calls ive made . So far i haven't even got a proper explanation from sony , and they dont want to put me through to a manager to discuss it ? no ...

I had this phone from new as it was released and if you have read my bad points you will see I am not impressed by this phone. The screen goes into a mind of its own and crashes all the time, its just a waste of time, give me back my Samsung D500

This phone has been dropped in 8 puddles, ran over by a car, dropped onto a concrete path from a tree, yet still survives without obvious dents, massive scratches or faults. The screen is protected if you drop it because the joystic breaks the fall (Great for a teenager), and is a solid phone . it has a great 3.2 mega pixel camera which can take motion pictures very well. it has a great flash and can take out red eyes.it has a lense cover which is also protective, and it is not too heavy.it has ...

I think the Sony Ericsson K800i is a good phone and for its price, the best phone phone for your money. It has survived being dropped into 8 puddles, being run over, dropped out a tree onto a concrete path and having sea water spraying it. It has a great camera, and can take pictures of motion brilliantly.

This is an excellent phone for people who want a good phone with a small budget, at £69.99 been the cheapest on PAYG, it is an excellent phone, very large screen, 3.2 Mega-Pixel camera, Remote control feature, Bluetooth, IR, Video calling, Mobile TV, Supports 3G network coverage, Volume buttons, Play/Pause button on LHS, camera folder buttons on front, Have had just over a month now, it has never let me down, although on phones now, they need very good batteries, as phones nowadays are use ...

Had this phone a week now and what can i say...absolutely marvellous! Had the K750i for over a year and was well happy with that but as you do you go for a change...no regrets whatsoever. Love the larger screen and just like the K750i everything is pin sharp. A few people have mentioned the small internet button on the top left of the phone being caught quite easily, i do see what they mean BUT so far touch wood i haven't caught it once! If you've got stubby fingers (which i have) texting can be ...

I've had this phone for over a year and it's by far the best phone I've ever owned. And I've had plenty. It looks professional so it's a great business tool to be seen with too. With over 12 mths of use it still looks and works like a brand new phone. And I love the rubbery feel to the keys and the back of the phone. New models are on offer from SE and the competition, but I've just ordered myself another K800i for when this one eventually needs replacing. I would highly recommend this phone. ...

I don't really have any complaints with this phone. It appears very durable having survived been dropped into the bath and been dropped onto the floor on numerous occasions and each time has managed to fix itself. The menu system is easy to use, the camera is of a decent standard and with the addition of a memory card it works as an excellent mp3 player.
