I spent about ten minutes talking to one of their operatives and describing the parts I needed (back body panels for a Ford Focus)at over £1.00 per minute. Got a text within twelve hours saying they'd found all the parts at a breakers yard somewhere in the Midlands. But when I spoke to the yard, they hadn't got the parts and the bloke there said ' Oh yeah, WhatPart? This sort of thing happens all the time!' “Avoid this company £1 a minute calls, card scammed...”

I ordered a part for £45 through this company, they put you in touch with one of their registered salvage yards. the part didn't arrive and when I chased it they said the part was no good. I sniffed a rat and check my account online discovering my card was scammed for nearly £1400 by this reccommended salvage yard. Placed an order with them for a spare part when the price looked too good to be true. Well, it was! Never received the shipment. I doubt if my card details are going to be safe. Keeping fingers crossed about that. Better pay a higher price at a more reliable website than risk this website or its suppliers. (read more)

I tried to use them, they emailed to say they had the part at what seemed like quite a low price ... tried calling the number several times and always had a fairly lengthy wait before getting an answerphone message to say they were very busy and I should leave a message. I did that and still never heard anything ... they make money from the 07099 number and the number on their site is £1 per minute. I would agree with you. We paid for an item over the phone by credit card to someone who emailed us after having put a request through What Part but when we asked where it was, we were told that it was no longer available and the money had not been taken. We checked our credit card online to find two days later someone had been using our credit card fraudulently and what a coincidence we found out they came from an area very near where the car part was due to be sent from. I might add that if my husband had not rung the person who was going to send the car part, would they have rung us. This has caused us untold misery.

Total time wasters. Web site is good, keep you on the phone for ages confirming every last detail at premium call rates. 3 weeks on the trot, I ordered the same parts for the same car, waited a whole week each time to be told some cock and bull story why the part was not sent. I never received any parts. There are better scams out there. I'm sure they would make more money by supplying the actual parts instead of delaying people on the phone and creating lame excuses.... I was looking to purchase a space saver tyre for my car and decided to give What Part a go. At first, it was great - one phone call, they had the part available and put me in touch with the supplier. After ordering from the supplier and receiving the tyre, I was disappointed to see it was a full size tyre rather than the space saver I had asked for. After searching on this website given an 0702 premium rate number to call. The gentleman who answered kept me on for an unnecessarily long time confirming unnecessary details, discussing my health etc and keping me waiting before giving me another 0702 number which put me through to a firm which didn't have the part and didn't seem to have heard of "Whatpart". It all seems a little bit like a scam to me. (read more)
