Brilliant starter gun it has a comfortable stock i find the cheek peice isnt always right for me even though it adjusts but to only 2 settings, also, it is very loud but i use it for squirrels and you only need one shot if you can hit it. the power is good although i think mines getting ready for a new spring as i shot a rabbit at 15 yards and it ran away after doing a backflip i thing it was a bit dazed though good gun i compared it with my friends gamo viper max and prefered using mine... I think this is the perfect starter gun as its not too expensive. I think once a silencer is added to it it would be a lot quieter. As soon as I saw this gun I fell in love with it. (read more)

I think it is brilliant. The handle and the grip are great, the only problem i have is that the the effort to coc the rifle is a bit much. (read more)

I bought this gun new and as my first .22 rifle experience. looked cool and i wanted power thats what i got, but when i done some target shooting it was embarrassing i couldn't hit anything, i read a post about bedding in an air rifle, and now after about 1,500 shots wow this gun has power and is accurate , ive been shooting wooden pegs off the washing line at about 80 foot away, good for beginners (read more)

Not bad for a starter gun but i would sooner have the BSA supersport for a very similar price. (read more)

This pellet gun is vary nice to have. It shoots great and is very reliable. My only problem with it is that sometimes the pellets will be blown off course by the slightest wind. This morning I was hunting a squirrel, set up for the perfect shot, but a little wind nudged the pellet way off. This could have been my fault, but it's very unlikely seeing as though I had the gun resting very securely. That has been the only problem I have had occur though. (read more)

The Remington Genesis 1000x could possibly be more powerful but is actually still quite powerful.

The Remington Genesis 1000x has balance on weight, size, and power, with a great ergonomic shape. It has the telescopic scope that brings extra accuracy at shooting on long range targets. You may want to take it to bed, shower, in the car... everywhere. It is great!!! Maybe the size of the pellet is a bad point, but the price of it is totally worth it! (read more)

My Remington Genesis 1000x has fantastic accuracy and very good power. The grip and the sights are fantastic! It may be a bit loud but it's a fantastic gun for what ever you need it for, from birds and rabbits to just knocking over cans. It's perfect! (read more)

This Remington Genesis rifle is fairly new to the market has a futuristic look and fires excellent with the added bipod for stability this rifle can easily hit a 5p piece at 30 yards it has a nice easy 28 pound cocking pressure. I have put in excess of 1000 rounds through it and not had a single problem an excellent rifle at a good price I paid only £200 for mine with scopes the rifle is manufactured under license for Remington by Crosman. Hi and thanks for the useful information. Seeing that you hit a 5p coin at 30 meters you must be a Brit user...thank goodness...for all the extra powered ones in the States come in at about 950ft/sec and therefore produce upwards of 15ft/lbs...so your comments were grateful. I am a littlte confused, as some protagonists state energies of 10ft /lbs, others say 12ft/lbs and even others state 11.2-11.5ft/lbs...Not being pannickity can it produce 12ft/lbs with a 15 gr 0.22 pellet? Do you know?

I need to dispatch where only if all other methods fails some pesky "varmits", including and unfortunately some myxa rabbits up to 30 meters and I hoped that this a/rifle would do the job. I hate to see the creatures suffer because of the nature of some people who introduce such a vile disorder to our wildlife...(rabbits do a cracking job at keeping predators away from my chickens), so for me the more of them the merrier (sorry I do not mean to be selfish) but they are good eating for ourselves too.

So if your good self or any other interested reviewer has comments on this rifle and where one can purchase one with a silencer and without a scope I already have a 4-26X50 scope I would be so grateful to know and if you live in East Cornwall I shall buy you a drink...Cheers.

I found this review helpful because...it provided me with the information I had been seeking for some time.

Can anyone answer my questions requested? It would be nice to know that it can knock down a full grown rabbit at 30 meters with a 15 gr pellet (.22) humanely and using the requisite silencer.
Thanks

Yes i have the .22 version there are some newer heavier pellets on the market that will take the power up over the 12lb per feet but shorten the accuracy if you need to take anything down bigger than a hare.

Great review - Can you possibly tell me which silencer you fitted - My dad just recently bought one and wants to fit a silencer as well.

Great review, cheers for that, too bad about the silencer, i've heard the hellfire comes with a silencer. So might be worth checking out.
