Good Points: Lovely clean complex with excellent facilities. We went Spring Bank week 2008 with our 9 year old son. The 3 pools were excellent (one with 7 slides, 5 big enough for adults, one large pool with a 'wave' machine and a quieter freeform pool). There are tennis courts and an astroturf pitch, a gym for use in the basement (along with a beauty room) and the roof terrace is used for activities (eg. yoga / pilates/ step). Plenty of free sunbeds around all pools and the hotel's private stretch of beach. The outside bar can be used between 10 am and 11 pm and serves 'snacks' till 5pm. The main hotel has a bar open till 11.30pm and there is one large restaurant with additional outdoor seating. Tigaki is a 20 min cycle or 5 min taxi ride away (10 euro), Kos town is same in opposite direction (going through Lambi). Some entertainment staff work very hard at keeping to a programme, kids club's appeared to offer activities throughout the day. Evenings can be lively with the entertainment by the pool bar or quieter at the hotel bar. The all-inclusive package is just that, offering lots of variety in drinks and food till 11pm. Serve yourself drinks in the restaurant is a great idea (wine/beer/soft). Taxi transfers from airport were 25 euro each way. The rooms were exceptionally clean, we had clean linen and towels every day (although some guests occasionally missed out). We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which had very modern 'ikea' type furniture and most have sea-views. There's a doctor in attendance every day (50 euro standard appointment charge). Cycles / Mopeds / Quads can be hired within the hotel complex (5 euro for 24 hr cycle).
Bad Points: The focus is mainly on German guests, we enjoyed our holiday and met English people but did wonder if this was mainly due to arriving during a major school holiday(?). Entertainment can be tiresome as English translation is last if at all. Although the food and drinks were good the atmosphere in the restaurant is very 'school canteen' and can get very noisy. Descriptions for meals were occasionally given but usually in German. We stayed with Hotels4U and the welcome meeting was good for information on Kos but the rep had no idea about the hotel facilities and it took us a good couple of days to find out what was on offer (our German reading is not so good). Although most of the staff were very helpful. The beach is man made and there are some large pebbles to negotiate before getting into the sea (although there is a sandy beach 5 mins walk to the left). As it's on the windy side of the island there's also a large amount of seaweed to bypass. Although sunbeds were plentiful the race was on each morning to secure an umbrella as these appeared to be 1 between approx. 6 beds. It can be very noisy in the evening until the entertainment finishes around 11pm. Kids u to the age of around 6 are well entertained after this they tended to find their own fun. There is nothing outside the hotel unless you have a means of transport.
General comments: We had a great holiday and would go again but probably before our son reaches 12/13. As it's quite isolated it's not really suitable for couples or families with older teen children. The facilities and entertainment are very good but they cater mainly for German / Italian guests. Bearing all this in mind I'm sure the holiday would be as great as our's was.

Very enjoyable experience. Great hotel and facilities - try the wave pool, but don't forget your rubber ring!! Taxi's were ' 10 in either direction where there was plenty of things to do when you arrived. The harbour is lively at night. Tingaki is quieter than Kos town, but just as much fun. When booking, I was told that we'd have a studio, but it turned out that we had been allocated an apartment. They are large, clean, good bathrooms and we had an excellent review of the grounds from our ...- Read Gingerbubble's review (256 words)

Location is great if you like isolation, taxis are quite cheap into Kos town and Tingaki but is 10 Euros for a 10 min ride - (fiddle going on with hotel.)
There is a bus but this is infrequent.
Very important out of 1300 people there were 5 English families the rest were German and European so hence everything was in German.
Entertainment is rubbish no professional acts at all. Desperately boring at night.
We were all in bed by 10 at night and that was because we stretched it.
No kids club ...- Read timsarge's review (466 words and 1 comment)

After reading the terrible reviews about the Kos Aqua Beach Club on other review sites, I cried the day before we left. I needn't have. We had a great week and didn't want to come home!
My party consisted of myself, my husband and five kids aged 13, 12, 10, 8 and 7. We had two one-bedroomed apartments which interconnected, meaning we had four bedrooms and two bathrooms. This was great! The rooms are very well appointed, lovely and spacious, and with amazing high ceilings if you are upstairs, ...- Read mrs curlygirl's review (935 words)

We had a great time at the Aqua Beach Club in Kos - two adults, and children aged 10 and 5. Everything you need is on-site and all close together; even the beach is right there by the pools. The all-inclusive works well with ice-creams, snacks and drinks on demand. Being brand new, the hotel is well-equipped, the apartments well thought-out, and there is effective air-conditioning everywhere. Whilst it isn't local to any villages, there was a daily bus into Kos Town to do your souvenir shop ...- Read AmyG's review (173 words and 6 comments)

We are a family of four (kids 12,8) we booked this hotel at very short notice and to be honest without really looking into it. After making the booking we had 2 days of panic as we found lots of discussion about the hotel on holidaytruths. Lots of people who had booked through First Choice had holidays cancelled as the hotel was not ready. In the end I managed to get hold of a phone number of the hotel and spoke to the manager 3 days before we left. They reassured us that the hotel was fully fun ...- Read divemaster's review (353 words)
