    We have been working with this program for about six months and we have yet to get it to work as the sales man told us. We have the Boarding and Daycare programs and the Credit Card Program. We didn't even setup the Credit Card program because we found out that the rates are very high. It is not worth it for us to change over to Kennel Connection's Credit Card program. There are a lot of hidden fees involved and we are staying with our credit card company we have had for about the last 10 years. Our staff finds the program hard to use and it is not very forgiving for mistakes as you try to teach yourself the program. There is training but it is expensive. The support people are not very knowledgeable and are slow in their responses. They say they have 24-7 support but I have called after they close or on the weekend and I get no calls back. I have been trying different programs and have found another that is far better in terms of it working the way we do. Beware also that they try to sell you a lot of extra stuff that you don't need. Once you even try out their program they send you many emails each week to get you to buy. Once you buy from them they also keep sending emails to buy even more. They don't even give you a chance to use what you have before they try to sell you more. They are out for the money for sure! I called and told them that I am not even using what I bought and you want me to buy more?! I would say that there are other options out there. Check them out. Kennel Connection is not the only game in town!

    I see that I am not the only one having issues with the Quick Books Module! My accountant said it has caused more problems than what it was worth. Their salesman was VERY midleading when he explained how it works! We have used Kennel Connection program for over two years and have needed to double check everything because of the innacurate transfer of information to the QuickBooks.     The Kennel Connection program it's self has worked well for our boarding and daycare business, but we opted to purchase the direct sink for use with quick books... DO NOT buy this add on. The link has created far more work for us than simply entering info directly into quick books would have required. It's full of bugs, and of course Blue Crystal's tech support is abysmal.     I must agree with the last post. Blue Crystal Software is ok for a small business. Anyone who is looking basically at the pet industry as more of a hobby it would work for. But as we in the business know, the pet industry is no longer just about boarding a dog in a kennel. There is Daycare and speciality Grooming and many different types of pet training and sitting.     The Blue Crystal Software Kennel Connection program is not bad for running a small operation but KC has not kept up with the trends of the industry. If you're just boarding or grooming a few dogs or have a small daycare business, it will work for you. But if we're talking 100+ dogs a day in daycare or 100+ dogs boarding in a given weekend, this program migt not be for you. Look at other options if you're thinking big and looking long-term.     We have a 40 run kennel and have used Kennel Connection for over ten years. I have found that the software handles all of our needs and is very easy to use. In addition, the few times we needed tech support we found them to be very responsive. In fact, they modified one of the reports (no additional charge) and emailed me the update.

    Although the Blue Crystal Software Kennel Connection does allow you to do a variety of things, the steps involved can be cumbersome and time consuming.
    It is very flexible in that it allows for many different scenarios. Since how each daycare does business is so different. This is a major plus. It also allows to make changes on corrections on invoice which is vital during the learning process.

    The Blue Crystal Software Kennel Connection setup is cumbersome; menu items are not intuitive; to get training on the program is expensive; technical support seems slow.
    For a small operation this might be ok. But there is a huge learning curve.

    Some good features...
    All the features don't work congently.
    Once you buy the software, the support (especially the president) is poor
    If you have time to waste to baby sit a product, this may be the product for you... However I do not recommend Blue Crystal Software Kennel Connection.

    Focus more on boarding than grooming..
    Easy to use and understand. The company is constantly watching feedback so they fit the needs of the client.. The support is excellent, well recommend Blue Crystal Software Kennel Connection.

    The company is very strong, with numerous employees, and they are always quick to assist when I call. The new customer service rep and trainer add extra assistance. I am very happy with the experience. The Blue Crystal Software Kennel Connection software is big, but user friendly. A definite must-have.

    Kennel Connection has potential but the company is not proactive and very poor at reacting. If you are an experienced kennel operator, some of the functions do not make sense. If you are a small kennel, 10 runs or less, this software may be for you if you don't mind your clients waiting around upon checking in our out - or spending more time on the phone as you try to make a booking.
