    I have.
    eight pistols and I just keep picking out this one for plinking ;
Good points;Power!480 fps.It recoils like a firearm!Let's not forget that this is American.I could'nt find it anywhere in the UK,so I got it from Pyramydair USA./paid only $40 but shipping expensive obviously.
I loved the design ,so unique and modern/It's overall polymer(quality tough plastic), but metal in the right points./No screws for the CO2,but a clever flap behind the grip,so you load CO2 and lift the flap.(They should do all Co2 pistols with this system)!
It shoots 177 pellets and bb's.I shoot any type of pellet/bb's./Magnet magazine.Gun has right weight.
Bad points; No hammer cocking, only DA.Accuracy not so good, but I think this is a lovely fun pistol, packed with power. I'd strongly recommend this one..if you can find it.

    Daisy Powerline Model 008:
    Good Points:
    Excellent manufacturing and design.
It is a sleek pistol as advertised.
    Good weight distribution.
    Sights are well centered.
Bore is of high quality finish.
High quality plastic exterior, which doesn't rust unlike metal.
Metal trigger and metal parts where needed.

    Bad Points:
The barrel housing may move a little, but does not rattle.

    General comments:
Most modern realistic look. Best exterior design, ergonomics and feeling of all pistols, firearms or air ...

I admit I only tried out a few co2 pistols but I highly recomend the Daisy 008 Powerline gun. It's very reasonable priced ( $60.00 U.S. ) and it's pretty powerful. It's also very easy to load & use. I've been to the range with it several times and it's pretty accurate too. My girlfriend and I just got back from the range and I know I'll be ordering another one soon for her!

I've owned 5 other CO2 pistols, and this Daisy Powerline Model 008 is by far the best one I have ever shot. It feels wonderful in the hand, the best ergonomics I've felt with an air pistol. It is heavier and more solid feeling than other air pistols, and balances wonderfully for helping keep you hand steady while shooting. The design may be unique and look a bit unconventional, but it feels in the hand more similarly to firearm pistols than any other air pistol I have yet tried. If I had to own ...

Cool design and easy to opperate. Gun failed after 70 rounds. The "Gas Chamber" vents the c02 immediately when installed. Shipping to the US for repair is not worth it. $70.00 for 70 rounds ...$1.00 a round. Not very reliable.
    I won't buy it again.

I want to make a comparison with Daisy 671X. Somebody argued that Daisy 617 is more powerful because it has over 5 inch barrel. But they are both rated to be 485fps if using bb's. Can you use bb to shoot on a tin food can or hairspray can to see whether the can can be shoot though both sides. Daisy 617 can do it certainly.

For around $60, this pistol is a good buy. Compared to Crosman pistols, this Daisy is light years ahead in every aspect of quality and accuracy.
Great fit in a male adult hand. Gun is not heavy, but does not feel like a plastic toy either. Accurate with pellets up to 30 ft and holds a 2" circle free shooting. Sound is good and easy/quick to load. Looks are superior. CO2 loads quickly without tightening screws. Metal parts make this gun superior to the competition.
Front sight is flat blac ...

very good for shooting. I like that this gun is small and logically very comfortable. Its weight is less than a real pistol

The first time held the gun I thought it was all metal. But shortly after I realized that it was plastic. But that's not really a bad thing I guess. Even though it's made of plastic, it doesn't seem like low quality plastic, it's got a real metal feel to it. The fps is not bad. As previously stated, I also have a Powerline 693. I've immediately compared the two as soon as possible. When it came to accuracy, the 93 was slightly better at farther distances, but at close ranges, the two are virtual ...

I believe the Japanese have done a very nice job with construction ,very solid.
For 60.00 to 70.00 dollars it's worth trying.

Yes it's a plastic gun but it has weight and in all the right places with a near perfect feel..
Most guns have a lot of plastic in their construction today regardless of price or performance. It's nice nylon plastic.
If you want all metal you will end up with a heavy expensive gun.
For $60 it's hard to do better than the 008.
Keep a count of your shots and don't dry fire after clip is empty and you'll get 5 clips per co2 cartridge. If you think about it most people fire off three empty round ...

Upon hearing about the 008 on pyramid air, i placed my order before they were available. This air gun has power! You can actually feel the muzzle start to rise in recoil, as you quickly empty the magazine downrange. Comparable to the daisy model15xt.
Stay away from Gamo V-3 and Anics Skif-3000
    Junk!!!!!

The Daisy Powerline 008 is a great gun for the money. At $60.00 you can't get a better gun. I recommend it for shooters of all ages, because it's easy to use and American made.

It has a great feel, good looks and it is powerful. The only bad points are the plastic design and the loose grip plate.

Cool factor is high - the Daisy Powerline Model 008 looks are extremely modern and slick. Unique feature like the swing up barrel making for rapid re-loading with either/or bbs and pellets - high marks for this! Although mainly plastic on outside; all important features (rifled barrel, most internals) are metal. Price range is good for features offered (C$79.00); although the Powerline 617X gives better accuracy at a slightly cheaper price. Accuracy not as good as expected; but decent enough tha ...
