    Good Points: You don't get much better than Tahoe!


    Bad Points: Quite pricey overall but worth it!


    General comments: We've been to Tahoe a couple of times now and I doubt I'll return to Europe to ski again. Well organized, always good snow, and the hotel (Harrahs Casino) is a good base, being just at the bottom of the Gondola in the Heavenly resort. Sure, if you are not into glitz and lights then you won't like the ground floor, which is a casino, but hey you're not there to gamble, so just ignore it. Go room only as well as there is a lot of food options nearby although there's not a whole bunch to do apres ski except eat and sleep.

    But Heavenly gets its name for a good reason and it's a great place for skiing, for pretty much any standard.
