    Good Points: Cheap, easy and quick


    General comments: I love glasses direct! Far cheaper than buying on the high street and they allow you to try out glasses before buying. I have ordered a number of pairs of glasses from them over the years. Admittedly the cheap glasses are flimsy and don't last long, but you get what you pay for.

    I would recommend the Glasses Direct service to other people who haven't bought their glasses on the internet before.

    About two months ago, I helped one of my family members to buy a pair from Glasses Direct. First, we did "try at home" for a charge of less than £4.00. We paid and they sent the item for us to try at home, as they call it.

    We decided that the frame was not what we wanted, then we sent it back and went for one in their cheapest range of £15. Didn't mind about "try at home" again, as the price for our second choice was already cheap.

    I've worn glasses for most of my life and have never understood why they should be so expensive so I tried GlassesDirect. I've seen it noted that the average pair of single-vision glasses costs £5 to £7 to make (including labour), so why are the public being fleeced by High Street opticians?

    GlassesDirect Website was clear and easy to use and the quality of the product I have found to be excellent. I really can't think of a bad point!! Maybe a slightly larger range to choose from, though at this price, that's being picky.

    Highly recommended, I'll never pay high street prices again!!

    I was a little sceptical about whether GlassesDirect an on-line store could provide goods that required a personal service like measuring for spectacles. However, I needed a spare pair of spectacles and decided to give this site a go. I found the website very easy to use and with their help found out the size of my current spectacles. Armed with this and my current prescription I ordered a stylish pair of specs with lenses and free anti-scratch coating. For £15 I did not have high hopes ...
