I love this game because it has a lot of things in general. I luv how the sims take steps on cooking but that's just me. Theres also more options on what your sims can do. The children that grow up in steps, its awesome! To create your own neighbourhood is more awesome. So if I were you I'd recommend this game. Because I've been a sims freak for many years. Also can't wait to get my hands on the sims 3! (read more)

The sims 2 is a generally great game, enhanced by packs it is almost endless.
PS, I have always wanted to know why the music changes when you switch from build and buy mode on the original sims 2, but not when you have expansion packs installed

Good enough. Can get boring if overplayed, you pay alot off money for the actually game and i find the expansion packs are overpriced... not worth the value for money. You can create many diffrent people/families... create large or small families, personalities, jobs, life time wants etc. very addictive. (read more)

The Sims 2 offers more realistic choices and real life events than any other PC game I have so far played, you start the game by designing your own Sim, which is fun it itself... but you can then go on to live a full life, like any normal person does in the real world, all in a computer game.
The popularity of the Sims speaks for itself, but the recent Sims 2 in my opinion will hit the roof in sales as it offers even more than the previous editions, for example there are so many more options...

I only had the chance to play The Sims 2 for a couple of weeks and I would say that it was an amazing experience. The game is a good simulation of social interaction per se. It has good friendly UI coupled with good (but not superb) graphic qualities.
Overall it's a good game that will let you forget time passes.

The Sims2 has a very good concept on real life and shows you how to care and earn for a family, You have to deal with real life situations such as Marrage,Death and Work. Very Addictive Game. Your PC will need lots of memory and a good graphics card for the full sims2 experience. Could do with more cheats, and does get a bit boring and repeating after a while. But over all good game. I absolutley love The Sims 2, it is full of great itmes and you can have a diffrent strategy ever time. I think that this product is a much better version of the sims 1 i have many expansion packs and they are also very useful. It isn't made for laptops so that is a minor setback. (read more)

I loved the sims 2 for the pc I mean its awesome because the people and kids and babies look so real and that you can actually have babies in a vurtual world. Who ever came up with that idea must be making a lot of money because im pretty sure that a lot of people see the reviews and start to get addicted to it even though that they dont even have the game because thats what happened to me and as soon as I saw what the game was about I ran to gamestop and bought the game for only 19.99... I would like to say, the longer this programme goes on there will be new things to reinvent stories for the characters to become. I mean to say I bought Life Stories and it was rubbish compared to this, this is because it had two challenge games and the other option was free play and not a lot in that free play game compared to the Sims 2. Once you get your head around some of the concepts and ideas of The Sims 2, then it becomes a very addictive and involving game that can suck you in for hours on end.
The game play is very original and perhaps even genius as I know of nothing like it. Congratulations to EA for thinking of this before anyone else.

It's a really good game, with a number of helpful cheats (such as the the money cheat!). It may not be for younger children as it can be quite difficult to understand and maybe a bit inappropriate for them.
I definately recommend The Sims 2 for teenagers, adults etc.!

The Sims 2 PC game is brilliant!! I bought it in September. It's now February and I'm still playing! It has more dimensions than Sims 1, and as well as needs, you also have aspirations to fill. The best bit I find is having babies, because you get to "woohoo" followed by pregnancy, baby, toddler, child, teenager, adult and elder; so you can follow your Sim from birth to death. They also have the features of their parents, and you can track their family tree so you know who their grandparents... (read more)

The Sims 2 is the sequel to the best selling pc game of all time! This highly anticipated simulation is based on a propriary 3D engine will allow for new facial expressions and body gestures. Perhaps the biggest change for the Sim's 2 series is the adition of dna. The Sim's 2 can now pass on characterisitics to their offspring, which will resemble and look like their relatives. I think that the Sim's 2 has improved a lot your Sim's can grow up and do lots more which you can do in real life.... (read more)

Go for it! Sims 2 is inspirational!
Build your much longed-for home, garden, shops & families!
This game is just great for letting off steam for an hour or so.
I never played the original Sims this has been my first.
I found using Sims 2 easy & creative.
Colourful & almost mouse driven, so easy to sit back & enjoy the ride, where you're in control!
The Sims do have free will so you have to orchestrate their inspirations & needs.

I waited for The Sims 2 for ages. When I finally got it, I wasn't disappointed. I was totally addicted to the first Sims and all their expansion packs.
The game is now 3D and is really addictive. There is loads more choice when it comes to clothes and designing your home. I was a little let down by the wallpapers and floors for the homes but wasn't too bothered when I discovered that the homes were nicely decorated anyway and it was too difficult to redecorate a house anyway. The Sims 2 follows on from the well-known and popular 'The Sims' series for the P.C. Many new and exciting features have been added to The Sims 2 such as the 'ageing process' (yes your Sims will live and die, but will they meet the Grim Reaper when they die? You bet they will!), personal wants, dreams, aspirations and fears as well as a whole load more of new and amazing features.
The Sims 2 has been created using a 3D game engine and is now in the form of a 3D environment. The game has...

Before installing the Sims 2, do a complete defragmentation, disk cleanup also after each play. The requirements on the back of the game are the minimum only and you should be prepared to upgrade if you want to play it to the full. 256mb RAM is not enough. There is also a DVD version of the game "1 disk to load and 1 disk of info".
It loads very fast on our pc, compared to the old sims and all the expansion packs.
Technical info:- 80gb harddrive, Radeon grahics card 9200 series and bought extra RAM especially for this game to bring it up to 768mb ram. Intel Celeron cpu 2.7 ghz.
The expansion pack Sims 2 University has been released in USA, and due for release in UK by summer 2005.
I liken the game to building a computerised dolls house and I'm 43!!! My daughter 11 plays it the most and its a very enjoyable game and vastly improved from the original version.
Extra content available from the EA sims website http://thesims2.ea.com/where the latest updates that are needed to correct any glitches. Plus support.

The Sims 2 - This game is SO cool! You get so more attached to your characters than in Sims 1 and they react in such a more realistic way to the things you want them 2 do. E.g., they want 2 get closer to their newborn baby; they can actually interact with the postman/maid, etc.
The want/fears scheme is really effective, it gives you more to aim for, rather than just messing about. The whole age/growing up thing is very cool too, it's so amazing to see 'your' kid growing up and all that!...
