I bought round-trip economy tickets online for four people from New York to Rome in August 2009 for $399 each. $399! Incredible. However, I was a little terrified about this airline after reading so many negative reviews. I called their customer service center a bunch of times with questions and emailed them 5 or 6 times. Although their phone line is only open 9-5pm, I got helpful responses and wasn't on hold for long. They also responded to email with prompt (if vague) answers.

I got my e-tickets about a month before our flight. I printed them out, as well as copies of the receipt for purchase. We got to JFK Airport 4 hours before the flight was scheduled to leave, because I was paranoid about lines. I checked flightstats.com for gate location and delay times, but there was NO delay. We got to Terminal 4, got in line and were checked in within 15 minutes. The gate agent was very nice, and seated my whole family together (4 people) in seats in the first cabin.

The flight left exactly on time and arrived to Rome early. The flight attendants were nice and bilingual(and stylish in their red shoes!), the headsets and TV worked (although I didn't watch it) and the landing was very smooth. I thought the food and coffee were great (although no vegetarian options). I found the seats big enough for me, although I'm not a particularly large person.

Our flight back from Rome was delayed by 40 minutes, but I knew that because I checked that morning. We arrived about 3 hours early, and the line was a little longer, but again, we all got seated together by a nice gate agent who spoke good English, and got through security quickly. The flight to JFK was smooth and the food was again good (I recommend the fizzy orange juice drink).

I think some of the people on this review board wrote reviews blaming the airline for delays or cancellations that were not their fault. The FAA and airport usually make the decisions about canceling flights due to weather, etc. I think the people who write reviews are often only those who are aggrieved, which is why I wanted to write this one. If you're considering going to Italy and want a discount flight, if you are reasonable, flexible and arrive early, I think Eurofly is a great option. Now, go enjoy Rome!

Pros for eurofly: The ONLY non-stop flight from the New York area to Naples, Italy.
Cons: EVERYTHING else. I last traveled with them in 2006 and it wasn't that bad. I guess with the bad economy they must be in trouble because on this go-around it was a completely different experience. Half-of the seats weren't reclining, the tv's/monitors weren't working properly, and overall the plane & service was rundown. On top of it, they had NO milk on board, which didn't sit well with us consideri ...

eurofly was by far and not even close the worst airline i've ever delt with.
they cheated me out of 3 vacation days and offered no compensation, only an appology.

dont ever use them, between their delays (anywhere from 2-72 hours) and cancelations, it will reuin your vacation.

In November 2008 we made NY-Rome-NY trip with Eurofly
Returned flight Rome-New York was delyed ( 2-3 hours).
All passengers were offered to fill out an application for
reimbursement. After couple months we received a letter
from Eurofly. They offer us two free round trip tickets NY-Rome-NY any time during 2009. It was very nice. I like that kind of respect. And delay happens with all air company, but not all of them reimburse you so generously. I recommend Eurofly.

EuroFly is by far the worst airline I've ever used. we experienced unplanned stops, numerous delays, and cancellation of our return flight halfway through our vacation.

I would never use this airline again.

and thats not even mentioning their arrogance

There is nothing good about Eurofly. They sent me an e-mail telling me that they no longer on fly on Saturdays and I'll be leaving on Sunday. Taking a day off my trip. I cancelled the flight.

my experience eurofly was the first and last. this company takes advantage of the fact that youve paid a little less for your ticket to minipulate your vacation to their airplane vacancy needs.

i was to go direct from jfk to rome (not only did we take off 8 hours later than scheduled when paid for tickets but last minute they added another stop during the flight.

and if that wasnt bad enough , halfway through our trip they cancelled our return flight.

they offered us our money back for the tr ...

I booked my flight two weeks before departure. It was absolutely the cheapest option for travel from Palermo to NY. No problems working with their website. A very pleasant experience all around. Clean plane, attentive flight crew, almost ontime depature and arrival (15 minutes late). I've already recommended the airline to several friends who like me fly once or twice a year on this route. Other options cost more and have poor performance records in my experience, especially Air One.

I actually won these tickets from a raffle and after reading a large number of reviews on this website almost didnt take the tickets. But im glad i did. i had a great experience using Eurofly. The planes(both coming and going GJ957,GJ956) were both very clean and fairly comfortable. I was flying Economy class i might add.No real delays to be honest. from when we boarded the plan to the moment we took off took about 30 min. which is perfectly acceptable. The stewardess and stewards both on and of ...

The flight was on time in both ways NY -Rome-NY.
I like the sitting with comfortable leg support.
Price of the ticket was not very cheap for me.
    Little bit turbulent movement
Purchase in Rome's duty-free must be delivered on airplane, but it was not.
    I do recommend Euro Fly.

I totally agree with first comment above. In my experience Eurofly is a joke. They canceled my flight and rerouted me. I made the mistake of trying to utilize a voucher after they canceled a flight from JFK to Italy, and on the make-up flight the same thing happened, causing me and my traveling partner to have to purchase day-of tickets at the airport for about $1000 each way (which eurofly never refunded) in order to salvage our long planned trip. I would advise that you pay the extra $100-$2 ...

I attempted to fly on Eurofly twice. The first time they cancelled my direct flight to Palermo. So they put us on next flight to Rome, connecting on separate flight to Palermo, the delayed our whole trip about a day. During my next attempt the same thing happened on a direct to Naples from JFK, except this time the next offered flight was 2 days later. Accordingly, we had to buy ticket to Naples at airport on another airline. Eurofly never refunded us the money, nor even helped us book a flig ...

I flew Milan - Catania and Palermo - New York, Summer 08. I have flown Eurofly twice and only since it combined with Meridiana. I can't complain. I got bumped up into first class the last time. Both times the planes were on time and service was great. Even extra attentive in both classes.

I read the reviews before leaving on a trip to Italy and was a little worried about Eurofly after dong so. I do realize that most people will write a review when they are dissatisfied with something. Left JFK on 9/20/08 (on time) - left Bologna on 9/28/08 only 45 minutes late. Planes were clean and a bit roomier than I thought - although after an 8-9 hour flight, you will feel cramped no matter where you sit. Flight crew was pleasant. Food was a notch above what I've been served on domes ...

This airline is a joke!!! It all begins with the attitude of the agents on the phone, which should have been an indication of how this airline conducts its business. We purchased tickets ($3000) and were not able to use one of them, and they would NOT do anything at all to issue any form of credit towards future flights - let alone trying to get a refund. The staff on the plane is always too 'busy' to pay attention to you. When they go around with drinks, they get all bothered if you ask wha ...

Our flight from NY to Bologna was delayed 3 hours; and the return flight was delayed 4 hours. On the return flight, my TV control was broken so I had nothing to watch the entire flight. There were a few broken seats that did not lift up to the upright position without giving it a good shove from behind.

Cheap tickets, but cheap service in my opinion. Flight was delayed for an hour at Palermo, thought the plane was very dirty and old, flight attendants were the most mean I've ever had to do with, I asked for some milk for my son and they said no they didn't have any, then it appeared but only for first class passengers, they seemed to be getting upset because a lot of people were using the bathroom, never never again.

2 1/2 hours late going. 3 1/2 hours coming back. Just one plane on each route so if it is late coming in, you are late going out. Website has flaws. Got charged for paper tickets even though we didn't want them.

I was really hesitant to use Eurofly after some of the reviews I've read here...but I tried to stay positive figuring people with bad experiences are more likely to speak out.
Having said that, I was pleasantly surprised with our Eurofly flights (New York to Rome and vice versa; nonstop; mid June 2008).
Our flights were pretty much on time. We actually boarded the plane early on the way out but sat on the tarmac in line for a while; though I'd blame that on JFK airport, not Eurofly. The retu ...

If you are thinking about flying Eurofly to Italy, I really wouldn't do it!! Seriously, I'm not kidding. Even if someone offers you free tickets, please take my advice and DON'T DO IT! They are, without question in my opinion, the most inept airline in business today - I can't even believe they are actually still in business, I found them so horrible! I have traveled all around the world, and this was absolutely, without question, hands down the WORST traveling experience I have ever had. Here's ...
