Don't get your phone from here! Like pretty much everyone else, I've never received any cash back from this company, and have spent too much time calling/online complaining with them. Just thought I should get my review out there to help others steer clear.

I am now waiting 5 months for my Cash Back. Mobileshop says they have a problem with their system and must deal with every request manually. I guess I will be waiting a long time judging from the other comments. Very poor service.

Try to offer vouchers instead of paying up. My latest cashback is over 100 days late. They say around 60 days after receiving claim. Even now, they cannot give me a date for payment. Use OneStopPhoneShop I have used these on another phone for 3 years now and they always pay up. I am going to pursue them shortly using Money Claim Online. If more people did this they may sit and listen !!

There is nothing special about Mobileshop.com unless you use their cashback system and for almost two years they have been having problems with it. Use at your own risk.

DO NOT GO WITH THEIR CASH BACK!!! I have waited over a year and still nothing despite everything being sent in on time. They said they had something wrong with their system a year ago and promised the money would be paid. Still nothing.

Never ever buy from Mobile Shop if you are looking for good deals via cashback! might as well get from o2 directly as u may even get a great phone with the same deal as they don pay out in time and hope people like me forget about it altogether!

I've had all my cashback via vouchers I must add but that way I've gained an extra 5% to spend on shopping and you know how us women love to shop! My phone should have cost '£360 over the year and I've received '£378 back to spend in Debenhams, perfect way to save money to buy the odd prezzie at birthday times for loved ones, or blow the lot on yourself!

The cashback is poor with Mobile Shop! I have been waiting for my cashbacks for months despite sending letters threatening legal proceeding through the small claim court. If you are new to the their site, don't bother looking around for their best deals - every deal is more expensive than you would get elsewhere.

I got a mobile phone through this company as the offer was 11 months free line rental out of 18 months. It is operated on the cash back system - you pay and then they refund the money to you at intervals. They have not! I gave up in the end. I only claimed for 2 of the cash backs out of 4. The first one, after 6 months with no payment, I complained and substituted the cash back for Argos Vouchers. The second one I am still awaiting the cash. I also hadn't received my cashback and it had been a year! However, I just emailed them now in Feb 08 to say that I was giving them notice of intended court proceedings against them if I don't receive the money in my account within 14 days.
They tried calling and offering Argos vouchers, but I told them that my email still stands.
Within 2 days I got an email to say they will put the money in my account within 3-5 days. 3 days later, they had put '£700 in my account! (8 cashbacks of 87 ...

This "company" is having a laugh. They offer cheap deals on mobile phones, with generous cashback offers, but they never deliver on their promises. I had to wait 5 months for my first two cashback payments and the second two still haven't been paid! I phoned their customer services again and again, and was told the same old empty promises, but they never kept them. If you value your cash, take my advice and do not go here!

Mobile Shop may have been good in the past, but i suffered from very poor service in 2007. Only paid first cash back voucher. Took 1 year to get the others paid.

Their cashback system is utterly atrocious, and despite complying with their instructions, I had to fight tooth and nail for every payment. Claims were paid only after I kicked up a massive fuss, and each claim was at least two months late (and I was one of the fortunate ones!).
Their customer service team were downright rude, and on one occasion, the woman even refused to put me through to the right department! Their website publishes glowing feedback comments from their supposed customers. ...

Not worth the time. Bad at communication as always give stock answers. These days a good option is to get sim only pay monthly deals from o2 and vodafone, you get more mins and texts for your money and not long term contract, just cancel with 30 days notice at any time.

Customer service is very rude, when it comes to cash back...just forget about it. They kept saying they had got problem in the system so unable to make any payment, my cashbacks are due for more than 6 months, but still same answer.

I have now submitted three claims to Mobile Shop and have not yet received anything despite sending emails asking when I am likely to receive my cashback. I would definately not use this company again - I have just read Angelofthedawn's comments and am going to try and get cash back through the government scheme.

Mobileshop rejected my first cashback claim as it was beyond thirty days of the bill date, this despite me explaining I had to get a copy invoice from the provider as original was not received. They don't bother contacting you to explain this, either. The 30 day rule just seems to be to avoid paying their cashback to customers. Their customer service people seem hapless and unable to provide customer service.
I won't be using them again, nor would I recommend them.

I am very unhappy with Mobileshop regarding their slackness to redeem my cashback (each cashback voucher was sent back in the appropriate time), and their impersonal generic emails telling of their technical difficulties when trying to chase the money up and no information on a rough timeframe that would fix the problem.
I havn't received the last 3 of my 4 cashback payments. One of these is from November 2006 - OVER 12 MONTHS!!! This is definitely not good enough even with your 'technical di ...
