I used Boots "Spiced conker"semi permanent, and I have to say it is not orange at all,but a really lovely rich natural auburn, even over my white/grey! But, Be ye warned,it is a NEW CONCOCTION (which probably explains why it is giving a much better colour and cover),but it DOES now contain Peroxide and PPDs.I'm allergic to some dyes so was worried silly after applying it, but this(as with the old version)I am fine with(well I'm sat here writing this 7 hours later),and no nasty itching or smarting,or worse!yet!
Thumbs up! love it!

Boots Botanics are 2-4-1 at the moment, so I went for lightest ash blonde and bitter chocolate brown (couldn't decide which way to go). The ash blonde did absolutely nothing to my naturally dark blonde hair, despite the colour chart on the box stating it would - look out for the small print telling you it won't lighten your hair, just enhance it. The leave-in conditioner, however, was worth the £3, it's fantastic. Tried the bitter chocolate and LOVE it - left it on for a bit longer than 20 ...- Read Guest's review (150 words)

I used the Boots Botanics spiced conker dye last night and my hair went ginger! I always knew it was a bit of a risk as my hair was quite heavily highlighted, but was not expecting it to go quite this red! However, apparantly ginger hair suits me better, so it's not all that bad. Just be cautious, if you do not want red hair, and you have used bleach in your hair previously, I would not reccomend it!- Read Guest's review (79 words)

I really like boots botanics although I cant say i have much experience with it - it's my first time. I used dark mahogany brown sort of thing and it's AMAZINNNGG! my hair is in great condition and infact feels quite thick now, and its a wonderful colour. its sort of a purply reddy browny blacky which I love, it's the perfect colour i was looking for! my mum helped me dye it and it turned out great. the packaging was correct and everything...
overall i really love this product. it's not a drasti ...- Read Guest's review (149 words)

Bought the Spiced Conker Boots Botanics Hair Colour as it contained no PPD. I have dark hair and I was hoping it would colour my greys. O.k if you just want to change the colour of your hair.
Looked at buying the Bitter Chocolate to see if that would be any better, but when I checked the product contents it had PPD in it.- Read Guest's review (73 words)

I have just used this product for the first time as i have had an allergic PPD reaction to a previous dye from different company. I have been looking for a permanent dye free from PPD for a couple of months and I was really pleased to have read the ingredients and found that there was no PPD in the medium brown colour.
I found rinsing this product did not take very long at all the quickest in all the products i have ever used. I will use this product again.- Read Guest's review (113 words)

Boots Botanics - I dye my hair to enhance the colour and even it out rather than to dramatically change the colour. For this, the Botanics dye is excellent - the best I've used. I've tried others but always come back to Botanics. It's gentle which is great for my long, dry curly hair and always gives me a great even colour.- Read Guest's review (62 words)

I did purchase this product some time ago. In fact 2 boxes as I have a long hair.I normally buy this product for several years and never had this problem. Anyway think it is average quality not especially good. Both products for each parcel had some fault. One box had the color tube broken and the other box ended in a very strange, very fluid color in the mixing of products that I never saw before. It didn't dye my hair properly and left it very dry and awkward.Very unhappy. Not buying again. ...- Read Guest's review (107 words)

Purchased Botanics semi permanent colour in Golden Caramel shade. The box shows a warmish blonde colour.
Actual Result - My hair is now orange ( prior to use, I was a medium blonde with a few highlights) The colour it has produced is nothing like any of the pictures on the packaging, even though my hair closely matched the middle one.
Would not recommend this product to anyone, unless they were a clown!- Read Guest's review (80 words)

I've dyed my hair since I was 13, and I used this colour 2 years ago and I used it for a year (which when I have been known to change my hair colour every time I colour it says a lot). It always leaves my hair in good condition and since I bleached my hair a year ago to go a purple colour every time I have coloured it since I've had to use intensive conditioner for a while, but this still leaves my long and thick hair feeling and looking as good as this product left it first time. I love this pr ...- Read Guest's review (103 words)

A good product, I have used it before and will use it again. It's a product for those of us who don't want a drastic change in colour, just a slight shift for a bit of a change and to even out overall colour (if like me you have darker hair near the roots and lighter hair near the ends).- Read Guest's review (144 words)

I have only been colouring my hair for one year (I'm nearly sixty) so I've been lucky. I've used L'Oreal products until January this year when I saw your Botanics range and thought I'd try it. Initially I was pleased with the colour but as I've continued to use it the condition of my hair has deteriorated, though I always use conditioner. Today I found a tube of L'Oreal conditioner, with enough left in it to condition my hair. The result has been dramatic which is why I've checked you on interne ...- Read Denise Margaret Smith's review (132 words and 1 comment)

I tried Boots Botanics because it is seen as more natural and gentler on your hair. The colour came out completely different to the colour on the box and proceeded to go through many different colours over a number of weeks. It also came out patchy. Ive been using hair dye for years and this is probably the worst one I've ever used.- Read karenmully's review (90 words)

I used Botanics Hair Colour as an experiment, and I compared it to other semi-permanents (Boots own and Loreal etc.). It had little, if any result. It may be a safe option for first-time users or those who want a very subtle semi-permanent result, but considering it was the same price as other leading brands, I'll probably use one of those next time!- Read sophisha's review (189 words)

I bought the Boots Botanic terracotta colour in the permanent range because I always thought terracotta was a coppery brown colour. The colour on the box was a bit misleading, I couldn't really tell what it was supposed to be. Oh well, let's give it a try. The colour actually turned out to be was way, way darker with purple and red tones in it, a completely bizarre colour! It wasn't unpleasant but it was a bit of a shock to the system, especially as the box colour is much lighter. Anyway fo ...- Read celestiteaura's review (177 words and 1 comment)
