Hotspring Spas, sold by Hotspring.co.uk, hottubbarn.co.uk and hottubassist.co.uk (are the new names after they rolled over all their suppliers) These companies are all the same people !!! Save your money, even though the hot tubs are fine when you buy them, give it time, and the level of service from these companies drop off to downright rude. My parents purchased a hot tub from the Chelmsford shop, almost some 12 years ago. Initially the tub was good, but as soon as there was a problem... (read more)

I bought my Tiger River Spa in 2006 and loved it until the Silentflo pump gave up the ghost after just over two years. As the company no longer exists I was unable to get the pump replaced under the warranty. Owning a spa is wonderful when its working, but the after sales service and cost of 'service' (engineer didn't seem to do very much) has been really bad. When I bought the spa I was told they were very reliable, this hasn't been the case with mine.
I definitely wouldn't recommend...

I presently have two Hotspring Spas a Grandee and an Envoy. I previously had a Tiger River. I had not problems at all and the warranty was great.
BEWARE! The original Hotspring company has now been taken over. They will no longer honor warranty work and will hide behind the original company in receivership.
Always request an insurance backed guarantee and don't be suckered into any other manufacturers scheme and remember that you will need at some point to use it.
Despite having two ...

We have had our hot tub for about 3 weeks now. It feels so good on my back. I have back problems, & it helps relax me . My husband also enjoys it after a hard day at work. I wish we would of purchased a hot tub years ago. I recommend the HOT SPRING SPAS to everyone. We have the Flair, we love the lighting system in it. (read more)

I found this review very helpful because...

Love my Hot Spring Spa! We have a Grandee spa and couldn't be happier. We have 3 small children that love to 'swim' in it, even in the middle of winter in Fargo! Hot Springs stands behind their product and we have had other spas and their jet power couldn't compare! Absolutely love it! (read more)

I had an engineer out prior to them going into administration.
They were supposed to have ordered the part. It never happened. Watkins have taken them over and are washing their hands of all outstanding claims.
I can't get a straight answer as to whether my spa will be fixed or not. I have no intention of paying for a new pump from them.
In the current situation I would NOT, Definately NOT recommend this company to buy a Spa from.

I had to call out a service engineer a couple of weeks ago to repair my mot massage unit, he came, however it took him 2 attempts to fix the problem, I was then presented with a bill for £250, My tub is 3 years old and I was not told that when I called them out they were in administration and my 3 years extra warranty from Hotsprings was useless. If I had been told of this fact I would not have had the repair done. It was only the fact the unit was well under the original 5 year warranty... (read more)

Just some advice, up to you if you take it on board: Under the circumstances I think the reduction of £75 is reasonable and the remaining £180 is certainly not overpriced. Regretfully the extended warranty obligation has ceased when the company was liquidated and the warranty repair contract work was carried out by a third party company who now cannot receive payment from the manufacturer due to the circumstances. As the repairing company are nothing to do with the manufacturer the responsibility of payment is yours. I would strongly suggest you pay this company as they are within their rights to chase payment for an unpaid bill and you don't want a CCJ against you. If you feel strongly about it then you could always sent the bill to the administrators.

thanks for the advice, I certainly do not want any ccj against me, will have to see what happens in the meantime as I have been told by Hotsprings just to wait and see and they have not made any further demands

I have recently taken delivery of my Hot spring Solana RX and its being used nearly every day. I love it and so do the rest of my family. It,s got to be the most used leisure item I have ever bought. Who need the gym when you can relax in your own hot tub! I was a little concerned about the warranty and back up following hotsprings going in to Administration but this was eased when I found out that the warranty is with Watkins so all is good. I would highly recommend Hot spring Spas. (read more)

I do not recommend Hot Spring Spas. According to the companies house website, the company is in administration now so, I would be very careful in dealing with them now. (read more)

Ive got a Hotspring hot tub thats been absolutely great, and I did have a problem in the early days, not hardware related, more, "this is my first hot tub, is it meant to do that?" and hotspring uk were very helpful and patient (hopefully they will read this and give me a freebe hint hint. I bought one from them as a freind recommended hotspring hot tubs to me having had a couple himself, he upgraded to the massive 7 seater, and said hotspring held his hand all the way! like new parents!... We have a 2000 HotSprings Spas Grande tub. The HotSprings web site and sales materials all provide grand statements and warranties about their quality. We have had nothing but trouble from this tub and the company (Watkins) does not stand behind its product. They claim a five year warranty on their heaters and we are on our third heater and we had to pay for the replacement and labor -- $500. Hot Springs has lost its UL listing, because its product did not and does not meet UL standards.... (read more)

I disagree, I live in Australia and have had a Hot Spring Sovereign for the past 8 years. I have had a few issues, yes, the heater being one of them but I have found the company 100% behind the product. The heater was replaced twice and on both occasions the service agent admitted that there had been problems with that particular model of heater. I have had the last one for the past 3 years and is perfect.
<br/>Overall I have had nothing but EXCELLENT service from Hotspring Spas.

We've just seen this post, and feel we must respond, to clarify that Hot Tub Barn Ltd has nothing to do with either of the two companies or websites mentioned in this review.
Our other online reviews are somewhat at odds with the content of this one, and we encourage potential customers to read our reviews elsewhere on the web.
