Good Points: Ability to jump between characters in your team Ammo management / weapons issues similar to Halo Huge levels
Bad Points: Poor voice acting. Plot has been done 100 times before. AI terrible
General comments: Breed has been released in Oz and I can't say I'd recommend it. Despite the hype, it is not the expected Halo-killer. It's just too buggy. When you're in the tank, guided rockets will be locked on but veer off in strange directions leaving you dumbfounded when you have a limited supply. The aliens are ridiculously close to the Covenant in appearance and name (hunter is a category for example), but nowhere near as intelligent. If there are twenty of them advancing in formation and you start sniping the group, they don't react as their comrades start falling around them...
A big plus though is the ability to switch around your team. The characters specialise in different weapons and say you need a sniper, you switch to her, then switch back to the grunt for the assault etc. The downside is that your team are also stupid. You might have the sniper on top of a tower, switch briefly to a grunt, then come back to the sniper and she's wandered off. You think Aaaaaargh! in frustration and switch to the heavy gunner who is sitting at the bottom of the river with his air running out. I guess it's consistent with the stereotype...
One more thing I did like is that when you climb a ladder it's a slow process and you're exposed when doing so. Nice touch. Much like the fact that snipers can be brought down by destroying the tower itself if you can't snipe back or pinpoint them with an assault weapon.
